Missing footage is a bitch, but sometimes it happens so I apologize. A little extra info for you about this video: This was not my diagnosis, another tech diagnosed it and I replaced the part. That is the reason why I didn't explain the diag process or repair outcome. This was just a replacement video. Thanks for watching everyone!!

Was it only the bottom heating element that went out? Or does Hyundai only use 1 element? Seems like a good idea to do the back element as well, assuming it has one.

Great patience you have. My father was a furniture upholsterer here in New Orleans and tried to stay clear of auto work. He said it was a different trade that took skills and tools he didn’t have. 👍🏼👍🏼

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I like to watch smart people do complicated things. About the time you turned that seat up and started pulling plugs everywhere I was a deer in headlights. But you're competent AND patient. That's a quality possessed by few and far between. Good job. P.S. You are SO not a hack.

Nice hog ring pliers. I never knew such a tool existed. Last time I took a seat apart, I tried to figure out how to put rings back in and figured the manufacturer must have a robot with a magic wand that put them in. I put small zip ties up and around from the bottom in strategic places to make it stay down.

Good video. I’ve done this job several times & nice & steady is the way - with space to work as you say. I didn’t have hog-ring tools available, so used small cable ties - which seemed to work well enough.

The only thing I needed was how to unplug the wires, but I didn't even think about it was for the heating element in the seat! 😸 I am guessing, after unplugging the battery, the most logical, is to just unplug those three wires I can see. 🤔 Thanks!!!

Great video! By chance do you have a video doing the same on a 2017 Ford Explorer? My driver side heated seat won't heat up but the passenger side works well. Perhaps is the Seat assembly under the seat that is faulty, or the pad like in this video?

I kinda miss working at hyundai. Since their stuff break at least 10 times more than any toyota, there is more warranty work. I know hyundai's warranty don't pay much. For that seat heater element, it would be around 0.6 to 0.8 hours.
