You can tell he’s memorized a script for this publicity tour. It’s the same story at every stop and interview. I feel like Martin knows what goes on in hollyweird and he’s not ok with what he’s seen heard and knows vs Will who is all in...

Berlin Gray that is hilarious when you think about. Question: does an intelligent man walk away from an MIT scholarship to pursue a career in rap music? I agree that Will Smith is extremely intelligent but his result is the exception and not the rule. Let’s not forget also that he had talent and opportunity (which is basically timing), and the wherewithal to use his talent when called to action. He is probably happier for it though.

When Chapelle talks about why he turned down on the 3rd season of the Chapelle show he's on the same vibe as Martin.
Martin was banned from SNL because he brought Def Comedy Jam Marty Marr to SNL and that's not what they wanted. So they went with Chris Rock, but Martin stayed true to who he was.

Right? I noticed that. Martin mentioned on The Breakfast Club that he didn’t do the media junket on past films. He appears to be learning how to do this from watching how Will works it. Remember, Will arrived as a true Hollywood Box Office Star from Spielberg casting him in Independence Day. Essentially, he learned the movie biz from Spielberg and now works the formula. Hollywood execs love working with actors who get out and market the movie; hence, Smith has stared in countless films as compared to Martin.
