Wrath, Sloth, and Lust showing up and instantly cleaning house on the last of the playthrough is like a pack of street thugs throwing down on a guy because he was picking on a couple weak kids. (The kids in this instance being Greed and Pride lol)
As a kid i always struggled with them, to the point that i can only think of them as a tough fight. Definitely cathartic to see them get destroyed. (I think my issue was not liking grinding so i would end up underleved. Also not knowing a bunch of the mechanics that aren't explicitly stated in game, but i was also 8 or something without the Internet to help.)
It’s really nice to see your growth as a creator. I rarely comment on your videos but have been watching since the emerald grass nuzlocke. I love so many of the little running jokes and themes on your channel that have started to build on top of each other, like garchomp FJ or how poppy has inspired so much of the dog pokemon love on your channel. Not only does your scriptwriting get better, it also seems like you have more fun writing it now. What I’m trying to say is that your channel has some of the most visible growth in quality that I have seen on TH-cam, and I appreciate the content you drop❤
If you were to look at the many pokemon who can learn earthquake, absol is probably one of the more nonsensical ones to not be able to learn it. Arbok can learn earthquake. Arbok has as much to do with earthquakes as my big toe. I could even assume that Absol senses where an earthquake is about to happen, therefore he has the move earthquake because they're around when one happens.
Psychic only in Enerald might be interesting. One of the hardest generations for it I'd think since you have few encounters, the evil teams use dark types heavily, and there's a dark type elite 4 member.
@@zoeyvalkyrie The early game would be a nightmare, your only two potential encounters going into Roxanne are Ralts and Abra, and both of those don't know any attacking moves when you get them. Plus Ralts and its evolutions are really mediocre until Gen VI and catching Abra is a matter of whipping a ball at it immediately and praying.
I did one of these too a few days ago. Absol carried this team pretty hard. Only thing I regret was EV training them all only in Speed and Attack... Strength was basically my strongest move since all Dark/Water/Grass moves were special 😅

The reason Absol can't learn Earthquake is because he doesn't cause disasters, he senses it. When an Absol appears it means disaster is about to happen, but not because of him. That's why he's called the disaster pokemon.

I was more curious about linguist definitions and the whole all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares angle. After putting in the research the udder is analogous to the breast/boob and represents 2-4 fused together into 1 mass. Dangling below the udder are the teats which are basically nipples with the distinction being if it is on a human or other animal. I took the sacrifice to my browser history, but the short answer is that miltank counts as having nipples. (Just by another name)

24:01 Absol can't learn moves like Earthquake because it doesn't cause disasters, it only foresees them and tries to warn people; but this makes people think that it causes the disasters, hence why it learns moves like Future Sight and Perish Song. It's unfortunate from a viability standpoint, but makes sense given its lore. The only move in its learnset that doesn't really match this theme is Rock Slide, though in the anime it does try to cause rock slides in order to protect people from a disaster, so it's not too far off; meanwhile, earthquakes are only ever destructive.

Atleast some of those quirks work in his favor. Roxanne's rocks have bad special defense and don't resist dark so Bites from Poochyena rip through her. Ghost moves are physical so shadowball benefits from sword dance. Cacturnes growth boosts all of its dark and grass moves. The times before the physical special split are weird, some mons are nearly unviable like sneasle, amd others get to pull of some shenanigans like Cacturne and Linoone. (Bellydrum linoone sweeps Phoebe with physical shadowball.)
Flashing back to when I did a run of ruby with tan aqua pokemon. Watson is truly hoenns great equalizer if you don't have marshtomp/geodude. So many kabooms. So many tears. I was rewarded with a shiny numel ironically tho, so that was fun

After playing a couple ones, Platinum, B/W, Emerald and X/Y are all fun games to run for the challenge. X/Y I think is the most fun, though I think Emerald without the game corner TMs is the hardest.

If you think about it, of the deadly sins, gluttony is probably the least damaging to one’s soul. So the naming theme was fitting going into the end, bringing the strongest 6 deadly sins
I tried this run a long time ago, naming all of my party members after Lord of the Rings villains, and got walled by Wattson. It was nice to see you succeed. RIP to Sauron the Mightyena, Gollum the Sableye, and Willow the Nuzleaf.

I appreciate the closing statements about how the best monotype nuzlockes teach us something new about the games regardless of difficulty. Currently i am doing a normal playthrough of Crystal on my 3DS, its my first time playing a gen 2 game and having loved Heart Gold as a kid i figured it was time. My only restriction is that i must use Johto pokemon, and i have gained a new appreciation for Hoppip and a hatred for gen 2 movepools, fleeing wild pokemon, and lack of running shoes. Hoppip is currently holding an everstone and will continue to hold it until level 30 when it learns megadrain, the alternative is let it evolve and have jumpluff learn megadrain in the 40s. (Sleep powder is a fantastic move even at 75% accuracy.) I also learned Donphan and Ursaring are basically counterparts. (Version exclusives, same catch chance and fleeing, same base stat total, same evolution level, ect.)
Has the style of video changed recently. For a while the style of video was more like showing clips from streams, but now it's more narration like it was at the begining of the channel. That aside, a FlygonHG video always makes my day, it's amazing how much of a happy influence these videos have on me.
Ngl, this video is how I learned Nuzleaf is also dark type 😅 i had to google to make sure it was actually dark type to make sure, and yeah. That explains a lotta struggles I had as a kid not knowing type charts LOL

After losing a Gen-Locke to Tate & Liza and having to restart from Pokémon Red, it’s cathartic to see them just get walloped with ease.

It actually makes sense that Absol can't learn earthquake. Absol explictly doesn't cause disasters. It merely senses when they're coming.
