Andrew, you have really good teaching skills... I think that even beginner detectorists will understand a lot from this video, as well as really advanced searchers... how the detection properties change according to the detector settings... I completely agree that in the field where there are enough targets ... even a basic and medium class detector will do a good job ... and will find enough targets ... even relatively quickly ... but the more difficult stored targets will definitely require a higher class detector ... .especially if we consider mineralized or heavily iron-contaminated terrain... As in any kind of hobby, a detectorist who has the perseverance and patience to learn something new - in terms of correct detector settings - can achieve really excellent results with a better detector, even in difficult terrain.
bought the XP2 Manticore Nokta legend and Equinox 900 and have had great luck on salt water beaches! sold my excalibur 2 this last year because the XP2 out preformed was able to really learn the machines this summer I think the Manticore and XP2 are the top machines right now and the Equinox 900 is a close third legend found gold and is a cheaper alternative to the other 3 but does work well lots of newbies buying high end machines but dont know how to set them up! keep the great videos coming!!!!
@NHbeachmetaldetecting thanks for your comments. Pretty much agree with everything you said. Manticore and XP D2 are the 2 I use the most at the moment.
Well, personqlly I think you should put an accent on users. It is q big difference between, let's say, beginners and long time users.. But, great advicew bro.. cheers🎉🎉🎉

@SlavoM777 Thanks, I appreciate all of your comments. Understanding your metal detector is half the battle, finding productive sites is the other.
