What I really appreciate is that your messages change as you become more informed. Sharing your thoughts with all of us helps to open a dialog. You are so open to learning that you are honest about why you are changing what you may have said in the past. So I thank you. Thank you for listening to what others with different experiences are saying. Much respect George.

I had a long talk the other day with someone that said meditation would never be for them because of trauma. You bring up a few of the thoughts that i've been sitting with on the topic. I'm finding the use of a flow state in an activity can help. Ultimately, when someone is ready to let go of self, then they can heal. Some people that seems to scare so much, they avoid moving on. Letting go is the greatest gift of love we can give ourselves.
Watching your journey as you've come back from the monastery and taken on the day to day has been enlightening for me. Helped me feel less frustrated at myself when i catch myself grappling onto the riverbanks. Keep being genuine. Thank you for taking us along for you're way on the path. :)

Transcending trauma starts with realizing that you have already lived past the event, You are a survivor. That known strength forms a greater self-respect that can lead to true healing.

I have read in the book called “the untethered soul” that this trauma is stored in our hearts called samskaras (impressions from your past). And when similar experiences happen it can bring up those same feelings you have carried with you for years or a whole lifetime. They can be both positive or negative in nature. It’s a good book to read which also has Taoism wisdom in it.

    ... as a German Biochemist Ph D -
I never even use such words -
it is like going into a Cinema
    in the dark -
    ANYTHING becomes infinite
Shocking Scene of Terror and Horror may emerge
that we are unwilling to accept
it takes intense Inner Strength to prepare for such encounters
and even then - it may derail us
when an amateur uses something -
    it may destroy him

This is great. Thank you George. You have such a kind and compassionate heart.
I believe trauma occurs within all of us, it’s universal; weather it’s a trauma in a big way or a small way. Small way being a micro trauma. To me, healing trauma is so important to any spiritual path. We have to heal it at a mind/ body and spirit level because it effects our whole being. What western medicine does with the talk therapy, is important, but there is so much more to it then that. Just talking about makes it stay within the mind. It effects our entire energy system. Healing trauma allows you to learn to have compassion and love towards oneself. Without having compassion and love towards oneself, it’s hard to have compassion and love towards others. I have had to learn to heal my microtrumas in my path, which I will say I’m still doing and it’s truly takes time. I’ve found it truly can transform your life in such big ways. I had a complete distrust with my body’s ability to heal since a young child(age 9) where I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and some other things. I had to give myself so much love and compassion to help myself heal. Using positive talk to our inner child is also very important and knowing we will be ok. We have to allow ourselves to feel this trauma with loving gentle awareness. Sometimes meditation and mindfulness is not the way like you said. There a ton of tools that can help and also great people to guide us through these intense experience. This is a great video and one that is spoken from the heart. There is unity in knowing that we’re not the only ones that suffer. We are not alone. We decide weather we ascend to enlightenment and compassion or descend to negativity and suffering. Beyond the suffering lies the true self and bliss that is within our heart. May we all be happy, peaceful, healthy and free from suffering. This is a message we all need to hear. 🙏🙏

What an absolutely wonderful talk. So simple in some ways, so heartfelt and offering so many ways to enter these practices in a way that makes sense for where we are now. So glad I listened to this.

Hi George. Your vid discourse on meditation really resonated with me and my own experience of practice.
Further on, your reference toward trauma awareness was meaningful. You distinguished between traumatic and non traumatic was nicely differentiated.

Thanku George! This brought me tears🥲🌹. Nice video 🙏❤️…I use ‘being a mother to the world/thoughts/emotions’ to overcome past pain n compulsions…it means to me to love whatever there is as it is…or total acceptance..or equanimity..sit with pain or compulsive thoughts n love n accept them as they arise..n thank them for visiting me n become equanimous with them n their flow..it kind of evaporates them n bring peace n tranquility to me, strangely, in return..love is the fire that burns them n evolve me 🤗💐💗…Sorry, May b it doesn’t make sense, but just thought to share my experience..also love to share this quote ’If there is love in your heart, it will guide you through your life. Love has its own intelligence. Love is a longing to include someone as a part of yourself. It is a possibility to become more than what you are, by inclusion. -Sadhguru’ 🤗🙏🌈💗…it goes for our own pain n compulsions too I think 🙏..love is ‘willingness to include’ someone or something..Namaskaram 🙏
