I loved that you mounted the camera further back. Maybe it wasn’t planned by you but the viewers get to see the operation of the clutch, gas pedal and stick shift. I noticed right away and hopefully others did too and not take for granted what was going on. It was very cool. When the 5 year old was in my Corvette with me, about 3 years ago, and I was shifting gears she was in amazement, she had never been in a manual transmission car before, she liked it. As we were parking the car the reverse lockout broke. She had no idea what had happened. It was the second time it had happened, the first time was at the 17th year of ownership and that time I was in the 31st year of ownership.
exactly the new stuff is so good, too fast to use anywhere safely and overly complex the car does everything for you these older Ferrari you actually have to drive and respect their limits
What a thing! I have zero interest in the latest 1000 hybrid cars, but this is pure emotion. Inspired me to take one of my cars out for a drive. Thanks.
This one is definitely a keeper but i have several now in my shop undergoing full restoration’s I truly enjoy the test drive shake downs of each one as they all feel slightly different with personality
Phil, you did an amazing restoration on one of my favourite Ferraris. I couldn’t afford this back in the day so I owned a 2000 Toyota Corolla GTS and hoped one day it would grow up to be the 355 lol. Love the sound!
After shifting gear don't leave your leg on the clutch pedal. You are applying a slight pressure on the clutch and causing clutch wear/burn unintentionally. Nice drive!))
Guess you haven’t driven a manual F355 before. There is play before the clutch starts to disengage and requires some pressure to depress the clutch so it’s not really an issue (I speak as an owner of a 95 GTS).
So nice! If those houses that were rattling along the way have company, they're probably saying What the heck was THAT??? The owners say: Oh... That's just Phil test driving another dream car. 🤣 🤣🤣 Great video brother!!

Best Ferrari.... ever.
It definitely is and my shop is filled with cool older Ferrari and F355 is most fun
@@autofanaticcars Back when Ferrari's were still normally aspirated and didn't have a bunch of electronic baby-sitters. Just raw Ferrari.

The 355 is my third favorite car and number one favorite Ferrari. I haven’t seen one is person in over a decade I would guess.
One of the most beautifull Ferrari with the 328

That is exactly how I feel about these older cars, you gotta get out there and enjoy them
Glad to see you’ve kept it.

The F355 is an amazing car and the sounds really are something special
M2.7 with the correct wheel. Rare over in the US! One of Ferraris best for sure.
What a lucky person to be able to enjoy these incredible automobiles all the time! I'm an auto fanatic on a budget! LOL
Need for speed 3 hot pursuit vibes...
Loved the drive!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Beautiful Phil!
Thanks for watching. You gotta take your black beauty GTS out soon for a drive
@ I did 2 weeks ago but now retired for the season.
I used to play need for Speed on my computer the C5 and the F355 or my most favorite cars in the game…
You gotta get behind the wheel of a good f355 one day
Beautiful machine. I would want to take it to the limit!
On a track solo yes not on backroads you gotta be careful but it is a blast
Need to be careful, there’s not many of these babies left.

What exhaust do you have on the car? It sounds great!
Everything posted in video description this is the 5th set up I’ve tested in 4 years i think it’s perfect in every way now with zero drone
Thanks! I didn’t see the description. The car sounds incredible!
My god
❤
You are blipping on downshifts for nothing gear gets engaged 3 seconds later
It actually helps these older cars go into gear with less effort fyi
