The theme jumping between Gore's and Shagaru's was masterful when it was first composed, and it's still the case now. It shows that this beast is tragic in all the most heartbreaking ways - it was ready to shed its juvenile darkness and rise into the heavens, only to be cast down simply because it wandered into the territory of one of its own kind. Now it is forced to endure the tortures of hell as the special Frenzy Virus that all Shagarus generate to prevent competition slowly and agonizingly destroys its mind and body.
I know what you mean. It’s intro really made me feel sorry for it throughout the whole fight. It does a really good job at emphasizing the fact it’s always suffering in endless excruciating pain.
consider the fact that gores and shags are highly intelligent as well it's probably depressed on top of that. I.e look at the tool use of shag in the rise cutscene the tactics of gore in 4u and the fact that shagaru magala stares you down for a while in the final confrontation in 4u seemingly recognising you.
I love 0:08 - 0:20 and 0:52 - 1:01 You can hear how Gores mind and body are fighting about their true nature. Trying to climb up to Shagarus theme only to have it fall crashing down to Gore Magalas theme.
@@RagingBrachy yeah while Allmother Narwas Theme was a Harmony of a mutual sacrife for the better of their offspring, Chaotic Gores theme is a Mangled mess of a failed transformation, making it a Walking Malformation, a failure among its species.
I always find it funny how Chaotic is supposed to be in-between powerscaling wise (as it isn't fully developed into a Shagaru) and yet is classified to be a much higher threat than the other 2.
I'd compare chaotic like a berserk battery, it doesn't have the same capacity for frenzy like shagaru but due to its overloaded nature it can use alot of it at once to the detriment of its body.

With Chaotic's case, there's no harmony here & that highlights how it has no distinguishable identity as Gore or Shagaru in terms of ecology & combat. There is allmost some harmony. Mainly here 0:54 but just as its trying to Play Shagarus themes Main harmony it fails. Also same i allways Slay them. My Sister captured her first one and needlesly say i was dissapointed.
True, 1:10 also has the Shagaru theme but it fails to go fully though again. Its more of a Shagaru motif rather than a theme because again, it's not harmonious

This is my favorite monster theme. The mix of gore and shaguru, competing with each other on which will win the internal struggle of the monster and it connects nicely with the gameplay and lore of the monster. Absolute perfection.
There is something missing that I only caught when I replayed the original version from 4U/GU, the digeridoo sound which was used as an audio effect for the Frenzy Virus
I mean do you think through willpower a Catterpillar can still turn into a butterfly if its taken out of its cocoon? Answear is no, even asuming it whould survive the process of being take out, it whould suffer for few days and then die. Just like how chaotic gore works.

I have to say, though I love the magalas in both games and their themes are on point, the visual design of all of them isn't as striking as in the originals. Shagaru is too dark (and he's supposed to be sort of light in darkness) Gore is too light (the stalking shadow, too many gold flecks,) and Chaotic doesn't have enough dissonance between his Shaggy side and Gore side (if you look in the original design, he has more spikes on the shagaru side, and it's much more clear how messed up this poor beast is)... I hear his moveset is amazing though. I am nitpicking. And I miss my safety rock.

That's only a theory by banned lagiacrus. Nowhere has Capcom ever confirmed that it's Shagaru preventing other gore magalas from transforming.

yea, i found the original a little choppy on some transitions, this one has smoothed over some of thoses while still feeling chaotic and jumbled
