Hi Niomi! I'm so happy to see that you are becoming more interested in natural beauty products, as there as so many amazing brands out there! However, many of the brands you mentioned (Aveda, Origins, Caudalie, Tarte, and Burt's Bees) are "greenwashed" brands, which market themselves as natural, but still contain lots of chemicals with only small amounts of natural ingredients. I would recommend Content Beauty in London as a great place to start for completely natural products. Brands like RMS Beauty and W3ll People have amazing makeup, and for skincare there's great brands like Pai, Tata Harper, and May Lindstrom. Lots of love! ❤️

Niomi! You should try a brand called 100 Percent Pure! They are vegan, cruelty free, and all natural and they have a powder foundation similar to Mac Studio Fix but without all the chemicals and animal testing!

I fully recommend SBC products, I'm not sure on the exact percentage of how natural they are but they feel so light and refreshing! My favourites are the Aloe Vera face moisturiser because it is so cooling and light and it really helps with sunburn aswell. Sunburn goes in a couple of days with it! My other favourite is the Arnica gel because it is designed to stop limbs from aching and hurting, I use it on my anckle after I come back from dancing because I put a lot of pressure on my anckles and the pain goes in 5 minutes! I'm not even exaggerating. Hope this helped anyone that is looking for different products
Synthetic products are often less irritating if you are sensitive to fragrances and essential oils. I prefer fragrance free products for my face, and natural products as a treat for the body. That said, there are bad synthetic ingredients and good ones...

While natural products are great, it's still important to make sure that they don't test on animals!!!
That's right! Origins for example is not cruelty free.
I love that you're promoting natural beauty products! I've been trying to switch my entire routine to all-natural and its hard! (So many unnatural beauty products that I love)
Our skin is the largest organ of the body & absorbs everything we put on it. Makes sense to be healthy outside as well as healthy inside!

2. For lower price products I really really recommend Simple! Their cleanser and moisturiser work so well with no artificial added

I am really into the concept of applying natural products onto your face, I feel self loving by doing this
Being mixed race, I find that skincare and haircare is a must for me to ensure I don't get dry skin or frizzy hair. So I wanted to share some of my products: I use the palmers cocoa butter and I makes your skin so soft and smells great! For my hair I am currently using the Keracare range. These make your hair so soft and their is about 5 of them to collect. But after I've washed my hair I love to use my argan oil!
I have the Liz Earle wash for taking of my makeup and I absolutely love it! Really good at taking off my makeup and feels so nice on my skin

Don't usually comment on videos but you should really try antipodes they're an all natural skincare brand from newzeland and sooooo good my skin is amazing from using their products

Marsha Burgess I was under the delusion that she didn't, that she's ethical vegan and avoids any type of non vegan product. guess I was wrong.
what is also possible is that these products are vegan and I just didn't check before... or she is one of the people that says honey is vegan because it depends on who provides you with honey-and I mean, we all are being influencing the bee industry just by eating fruits.
but burts bees also uses dairy in their products so...

Sorry to have to be the one to point this out but Burt's Bees lip balm contains Lanolin (Wool Fat, usually harvested from dead lambs as it's easier) and Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm and Burt's Bees Ultimate Care Body Lotion contain Beeswax.
Hurraw do a great range of Vegan Lip Balms, Tropic Skincare and Liz Earle do a good Cleansers and Body Lotions :)

I really adore that you lean towards natural beauty, your skin soaks in what you put on it. It's extremely important to read the back labels. Products that you mentioned are marketed as "natural" but unfortunately that word has no meaning (there's no regulation). They still have a lot of chemicals in them. Love your videos :)

I'm sorry but if you think all of these are natural you are so mistaken.
I love eyeshadow sticks! They are quick and easy for a splash of colour on a lazy day or as a eyeshadow base! My favourite one i tried so far was Laura Mercier in rose gold!
"natural" is a marketing word that means nothing. a brand can slap that on anything (at least here in the U.S.) and get away with it. also, anything is a "chemical." Water is a chemical. that's another meaningless word and one used to stir up fear in people. There's a lot of bad stuff floating around in our cosmetics and other household items, for sure, and both the FDA and cosmetics companies have little to no transparency about any of it. However I think it's absurd to treat all synthetics as if they are bad. Retin-A, for instance, is synthetic, and it really helps people with persistent cystic acne.
I know Niomi isn't bashing man-made stuff (she says as much in the intro and I'm glad she's promoting some of these brands, which really do make plant-based products) but I feel like I have to point it out because it's much too simplistic an understanding of cosmetics ingredients.

I love using natural products! If you live in Australia or New Zealand, Sukin is a beautiful brand of natural skin care products! they have a range for oily, sensitive, mature skin and they make your skin so nice!
I just wish burts bees didn't involve harming animals:( everybody forgets about the bees

I use the Think Dirty App and those origin products don't rate very well. Try Juice Beauty if you can get it. They are amazing and all natural.
Fragrances and essential oils can be awful for your skin 😁 They can be sensitizing and you don't have to see or feel the irritation for the cell damage to occur. These ingredients are not good for the skin even though they are "natural", which is just a buzz word that is supposed to make you think the ingredients are somehow better than others. Always opt for fragrance-free options and ones that have the fewest potentially irritating ingredients...whether you have sensitive skin or not. I don't mean to lecture or anything like that, but I've done a lot of research on beauty products and I've learned a lot from beautypedia and their cosmetic ingredient analysis. I'm often complimented on my skin and people believe I'm younger than I am based on my skin, so I think I can shed some light on this particular topic 😊👍🏻

I also started using the natural salt deodorant 3 years ago too! I started using it because other deodorants have me a rash and the natural salt kind keeps me from getting smelly even better then regular deodorants. I love it. for anyone in America, I use the Thai Crystal kind, which I think is easier to find the kind Niomi had!
I get bumps on the back of my arms, too. I found that dry brushing before showering really helps and then of course moisturizing afterwards.
That *could* possibly be a gluten intolerance! Not diagnosing you at all, but that's what it was for me and a few other people I know :)

You should try 100% Pure, Acure Organics and Andalou Naturals. Most of these brands are marketed as "natural" but they're really not the best.

The tiny red bumps on your arms are called Keratosis Pilaris and is caused by a build up of keratin within the hair follicles on your arms. There are many products such as Amlactin that will clear it up. You can even make a paste out of crushed aspirin tablets and water to treat it, as well.
I have searched for a natural deodorant for so long! After reading sketchy reviews I had resigned my search, but I will definitely look into that salt deodorant! Thanks Niomi!

Hi loving your videos Niomi especially when they are "healthy eating" or "natural products" related. I just wanted to say something about the natural deodorant, I have been using one for years now and I do think it works too, however when I was looking into buying I found out that one should be careful when buying an alum stick, some are synthetic and I think not really good for, well at least they're not what pretend to be as the natural deodorant that alum rock is. I think that one way to recognize a genuine alum stick from a synthetic is that it has to be see-through, the synthetic ones are relatively more white, and also you should be able to see sort of little breaks inside the genuine alum stick. You can also be sure by reading the composition on the product if it has one, the synthetic alun stick composition says Ammoniuim alun when the genuine one says Potassium alum. Here it is, once again I love your videos !

Hey Niomi! I dunno if you'll end up finding this comment, but I just wanted to reccomend a product to you, that I think you'll enjoy. It's called a Japanese Komjac sponge. It's made from 100% natural Konjac root native to Japan. They come in several different varieties suited for nearly all facial skin types if not all. They are relatively cheap, and last 3 months before needing a switch out. Just be sure to buy directly from the Japanese Konjac sponge website since other companies make knock offs 😁. They even offer body sized sponges!

Really enjoyed this video. A quick recommendation for the bumbs on arms: as some others have mentioned it may be keratosis pilaris, I get this on my arms and legs (well did). I found ameliorate lotion on feel unique, it contains lots of natural ingredients and is targeted at this condition. Using this regularly has basically eradicated my bumps and in general improved the condition of my skin. Just thought it would be worth mentioning for those who struggled with it as I was pretty paranoid about the way it made my skin look so hope this could help people :)
That brand that did her Argan oil also do natural deodorant, which doesn't clog your underarm pores unlike chemical ones with end up making you 'smell' even more sometimes. Also some of their shampoos are gorgeous like the rose ones Xxx

I had a facial at Neal's Yard Remedies and have been using the all the products recommended (the rose collection, beauty sleep concentrate and orange flower facial oil) and my skin has literally been glowing! Years of using chemical stuff has done no good so definitely believe in this! If anyone knows any other brands like Neal's Yard I am open ears :)
