    During orientation, we were told “don’t read every page of every chapter”. 📖 They instructed us to skim but the problem with that is the answer to an exam question is on a random page that you might miss if you skim. I’m nowhere near failing nursing but some of us need to figure out how to excel on these 7-8 chapter exams 😫

      This is my struggle currently lol. My teacher makes us read cover to cover.

    You are so right about some of the practice questions popping up on the actual test! While I am not in med sure yet (I start in a couple weeks), I did see some of the same practice questions on my funds and health assessment tests. I use quizlet, the Saunders book, and another website that has a bunch of practice questions.
    Also, I cannot study every day. That is way too much for me. The only time I do that is a week before a test, then I'll study for 1-2 hours each day. Other than that, I'm not burning my self out with studying. I need my relaxation/me time, and that means not studying everyday for me. Great video!

    I LOVE gimme questions! I know it's probably not a good idea to depend on memorizing questions throughout nursing school because it's good to develop that critical thinking skill but practice tests are literally what is helping me pass my exams. I feel that my critical thinking is good but I have terrible test anxiety so it certainly helps when I go in for an exam and see that half the questions are from the book!

    I still don't understand how people get A's on nursing school exams. Can you show us your thought process for answering questions? Some questions in nursing school can be subjective.

    Congrats on the new position!! 🥳 Can you do a video on how to prepare for externship interviews and the type of questions??

    • @TheArmedNurse
      @TheArmedNurse 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am nowhere near externship at the moment but a friend of mine graduated nursing school last year and she said her externship interview was the toughest job interview she had ever been on. She said there were a lot of roleplaying exercises like how she would handle certain situations and what she wouldn't do. Then there were personality analytical questions such as "If you were a fridge magnet, what would you be and why?" (literally a question they asked her LMAO). So, the types of questions vary between interviewers but I would prepare for the toughest.

    Hi. This video is really informative! I have been trying to research for TH-cam vid similar to yours that breaks down the ideas in this vid! 👌 That explanation at 1:17 is helpful. Your video actually is like the channel from Dr Ethan. Dr's tips are totally knowledgable and I actually learned a lot for wellness. He is an educational health enthusiast in Europe and he explains mental health and health.
    You should really check out his channel out and give the Doctor a like here! 👉 #LearnFromDrEthan
