- I am very excited to share with you this beautiful planthanger tutorial. It may look difficult/complicated, but I assure you it's not! I always make sure to tape up the ends of your 3ply cords so they don’t unravel while working with them.The only knots used are one gathering knot, and the Square Knots/Alternating Square Knots. This planthanger measures 39in/100cm in length.
** IF THE VIDEO IS TOO FAST YOU CAN ADJUST THE PLAYBACK SPEED BY TAPPING THE 3 DOTS ON THE RIGHT OF YOUR SCREEN. **
Here is exactly what I used:
-scotch tape to tape the ends
5mm, 3 ply rope cut to the following lengths:
1 x 2ft/61cm
6 x 10ft/305cm
2.25in/6cm wooden ring. I don't have a link, but there are plenty on Amazon.

So simple but such an impact! I love this! I just started doing macrame jar covers because I save all my glass jars for my propagated plants, things like spaghetti sauce, pickle, and maraschino cherry jars, and I used to just painting them but lately I’ve been doing the macrame on them. They look so good with a plant in it or even an led candle. I just have no more room for hanging plants unfortunately but I will still make this one bc it’s so pretty!

Thank you for the tutorial! I just made it and hung up my new plant! It was easy to follow and the pattern looks amazing. So far, I've only made two plant holders ever: the first was your spiral plant holder and then this one. You do a great job walking through the steps in a way easy for a total beginner to understand.

Thank you for including the end length of the planter, I just made my first one and its WAY to short for the space I wanted it and I didn't think to check before I started it. Good news is I bought plenty of cord : )

Such an easy to follow tutorial! I made a mistake at the start cutting more cord than I needed, but I simply ended up with four support brackets instead of three. I braided the end and used the knot from the start to finish it all off - absolutely enthralled!

How did you finish off the bottom? So many options maybe I will do those do dad knots that look like leafs lol Can,t remember name at this moment.
Are you doing the knots with the loop to the left up to 2? I'm getting abit confused as I thought you did one with loop on left then next looper from the right
Are you talking about the gathering knot? The very first one? If so I have a tutorial for it, one of my first ones but it’s very slow and easy to understand:),

Would it work with 4 sets instead of 3? I just don't feel that larger pots are secure with just 3.
Should be fine But won’t look the same, just a bit thicker. Ps, this pot is large and heavy and I haven’t had a single issue.

It’s can definitely be done with 3mm cord, it will just be much smaller. But if it is all you have, you can always add more cords to make up the size difference:),

You could but it will just look a lot smaller and probably be a little sketchy holding a plant!
