I am sorry but i have to say this. This is the best channel i have encounter. But the person that thought about putting annoying music behind de excellent voice is a very stupid person. On the contrary of other channels and documentaries this one really focuses on nature and we can really learn from it. But it becames very irritating to try and teach my on brain to desregard the stupid music and keep the attention on the details about life on oceans.
I've just finished watching all your content. Congrats on the algorithm finally giving you the push you do rightly deserve. I hope the vindication feels sublime.
I studied metabolic scaling in social insect colonies as part of my PhD so I'm excited you mentioned the energy efficiency gains brought by gigantism. It seems to be a general biological phenomenon. In the case of ant colonies, they gain energy efficiency when they grow to larger sizes. Workers of larger colonies spend less energy per capita because they have more specialized workers. And this leads to more efficient task completion. So 'gigantism' happens even in collections of distributed insect colonies too I guess. Excellent video. Learned a lot!
this channel might be my favorite. i have a hard fever right now and im half sleeping and i have been bingin these. they are really nice to watch while laying here on my bed. i once fell asleep while watching these and woke up 9 hours later still watching some of your videos. i thought 15 minutes had passed
This comment is really sweet, thanks for taking the time to write it. I really hope your fever clears up soon, and enjoy the videos, I think it’s so lovely that they help you relax 💛
Honestly, nature documentaries are one of my weaknesses. I hate learning but I can't can't but be fascinated and entertained while watching something like this or David Attenborough
Hate learning? How can that be possible? I'm going to assume you're probably just young and haven't found what you're interested in yet. Enjoy the fact that you are part of the most intelligent species in the world!
Bro you don’t understand how happy I found your channel, this is the content I strive for and look countlessly for, like if you just look up anything in the direction of this it’s a whole bunch of people making click bait ass shitty 10 min vids trying to get a bag, I love you man🥺
This was genuinely a fantastic video with very interesting facts and detailed descriptions, I hope that you continue to create videos of this sort. Very good!
I feel like you have been telling all of us a story, and as we advance deeper into the read, we can't look away. With each time that a shark flushes mud out of its gills, or each time that you mention demersal life, it is as if you have finally found your groove, and the world of your story is cemented together, so that it is familiar. Everything you have shared with us until now is brilliant, and yet, the journey doesn't end there; you're just getting to the good part.
Thanks so much man! I really like the way you put it, it’s incredibly motivating to think of it as telling a story. I’ll keep this mindset as I make videos, sometimes I worry about running out of ideas, but then I simply pick up one of my ocean books and turn a page, and instantly get inspired! It’s also thanks to you and Christian that I’ve been able to stay motivated, so I’m honestly so grateful for your support. I can’t wait to share more with you and see what you think :)
@@NaturalWorldFacts Lemme put it this way: You can make pelagic sealife sound like the wandering planet Nibiru. How about that? 😉 I know I've been quiet lately, but I'm not backing out of this. I'm committed. I'll give you more music and more ideas.
That’s a huge compliment! Thanks so much 😊 Also don’t worry at all about taking breaks from being online - I do it all the time with social media, and there can be long periods when I’m not on Hangouts. I’d never ever judge you for being silent for a while - I do the same, as I think we all need to once in a while. Always put yourself first and prioritise the things in your life that matter to you most each day, it’s important especially in these strange times. It’s always lovely to hear from you, you’ll always be a good friend even if I don’t hear from you in a while. That said, I’m eager to hear more of your compositions 😉
Recently discovered this channel and I'm loving it. It's so interesting to watch yet your voice is so calm and soothing it lets me sleep peacefully until I could finish. Please don't change the narrator ever..
Thank God, I found this channel and I m binge watching all the videos.... The narrator really puts me in sedative mode feeding lots of information with visual treat... love from India.. 🇮🇳
Brilliant channel. Discovered yesterday and binged a lot of your content. Studied biology myself (including some marine) and it's rare to find channels like this that teach me something and are actually pleasant to watch. Demystifying the ocean is a top priority for science communications and you're doing a great job. Keep it up!

Just found this, wonderful job! Far too many 'reality tv' nature shows now. Far too few informative nature docs like there should be. Keep up the good work!
Just discovered you and I’m binging in your oceanic vids SO HARD! I studied Marine Bio in college here in NJ 💙💙💙 sadly I’m not in the field now but have always held a deep, unconditional love of the abyss 🐳🐋🐬🦈🐟

We've absolutely got to get this on TV or something! The production values are almost there already... And, if I may ask, what sort of books would you recommend as an intro to deep sea marine biology as a discipline?
Hell yes, thank you!!!! As for books, my favourites are: The Marine World by Frances Dipper - covers everything about the oceans without getting too high-level scientific.
