Just received mine today. FYI mine had black strap webbing versus the Ranger green color shown on the website and this video. Seems like it’ll be a great pack. Excited to load it up and try it out on some hikes before the season starts
I love my 3200 and when I need bigger bags I think I will stay with Akek. There's just so many option for so many scenarios. Biggest problem is (not REALLY a problem) is these packs are so versatile that you can get pretty confused pretty quick if you aren't very familiar with your pack. Keep up the good work guys.
I used my alpha this weekend and it was barely big enough for my overnight gear. I really like how you went for the top loading design with external pockets and how you can use the lid as a bag on the frame for day hunting and be ready to pack out meat on the frame.
im definitely wanting to buy this bag. My only worry is using the back to tighten the meat shelf. would love to see the meat shelf be able to be secured not using the bag system to keep the meat shelf tight. hmmm. maybe if i can order two extra straps? it would be possible??
The meat shelf is in fact designed to be used and secured with or without the bag. The straps connect securely across the meat when not using the bag. This should keep everything nice and tight.
