- How to make a Minecraft RAVINE Town! Today we will be using a minecraft ravine to make a cool series of houses to form a TOWN! Pretty cool and unique huh? But don't worry the whole thing works even if you are alone, just follow the same steps but only make one house!

Mojang should add these to the game in some ravines. They should be full of treasure and they could add a mob called a miner, that will trade with you unless you steal their stuff. If you steal from their storage room or anywhere, then they become angry and chase you with pick axes.

I built a ravine town on a server with some friends and it took a week to clear the terrain because the ground was 100% obsidian. But I got it done and it was the best country on the server

I did one of these years ago when the ravine update launched. I literally fell into the first ravine I found, so decided to make a hidden secret subterranean town with houses carved from the rock walls, and criss crossing bridges, plus a farm in the bottom. It was a hidden world virtually impossible to find unless you knew where it was hidden.

That's such a cool idea but how do I do that in survival?
Somebody Unknown you can always just find a village and transport them by boat or mine cart. Or even better, you can make a villager farm so that you can get as many as you want.

another good idea for the build is to hang lanterns from chains under the bridges👍 hope grian sees this.

Dear Grian,
Can you please update this build, using the newest snapshot update? I personally think adding a few lanterns along the supports of the bridge would look nice. Honestly I’m better at designing rather than actually building like you do. Also some smoke coming out of the chimney, and possibly barrier blocks hanging off the bridges with some vines on the blocks faces I think would also add a nice finishing touch to the weathered look.
Anyway, I’d love to watch that video, and it would be a pleasant surprise to see it come true. PLZ!!!!

The fences you put below the bridge from room to room would look awsome if you put lanterns on the bottoms of the fences
This video has forever changed my view of ravines. I always thought they were an annoying terrain feature that just gets in the way of good mining, but not any more. Anything can be turned into an epic build like this. Thank you, Grian, Botbox, and Ajustme.
Also, when I try this, I'm going to throw in some mossy stone just to see how it turns out. I have a feeling it will do quite nicely, especially around the nature-y bits.

A town in a ravine is such an amazing concept! And you three did a great job bringing it to life. Currently I have no access to mine craft since I just moved, but I'm definitely using this as inspiration for a town in a D&D campaign I've been working on.
