  • In this tip of the week video Sully uses sticky putty to help joints keep their shape, not fall apart, to help action figures hold their poses better and most importantly to help that head sculpt (that doesn't quite have the right neck connector) to stay on your action figure kitbash. Please, let us know what you think of this tip of the week video.
    The Instant Tacky craft putty Sully uses in this video can be found here: www.amazon.com/Aleenes-Instan... (not an affiliate)
    Please sign up for our BlackOpsToys newsletter here: www.blackopstoys.com/pages/bl.... We promise not to bug you too much. We also never share or sell your email addresses to anyone, ever!
    Thanks.
    *Coupon codes found in our videos are AWESOME and we want you to use them. They are one-time-use codes, good on all loose gear on our site. If you find a coupon, know it expires six months from the date the video was published on TH-cam unless otherwise stated in the video.

    I had been using small amounts of that medical-grade silicone you use for earplugs. This is much better. Again, great stuff Sully, thanks!

    Have any tips on hiding exposed joints on figures? i.e.Foot joints, Hand joints?

    • @blackopstoys
      @blackopstoys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shirts, elbow and knee pads, huge watches and sweat bands. Clothing really ;0) There is no real way that I have found to hide an exposed joint and make it look seamless. If your going for that look then your better off purchasing a body with rubber skin over the joints already.

    Did u trimmed the neck?

  • @marottamonster
    @marottamonster 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What do you do in the case of the shoulder blade “connection”? Case in point I’ve got the Spectre commander body and the pivoting connection is extremely loose (the arm swings forward and back very easily).

    • @blackopstoys
      @blackopstoys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much the same thing with the putty. Those arms shouldn't be removable so it's really just finding the best spot to stuff a little putty into.

      blackopstoys unfortunately the arm snapped off at the collarbone area by the screw cap(where the hidden screw) is/was

      I would recommend pulling the insert putting that on the neck peg first if you have a body. Then slide the head onto the insert.

    Goes for another tip/trick im having issues with. The peltors attaching to the rails on the helmet. No matter how I try to work them onto the rails, they never stay and just fall off. Any tips? Thank you!!

      You ever used glue dots before? They work like glue but aren't permanent. I recommend a smaller size. Smaller the better ;) but not too small.

    Body shaming now? Complaining how loose your mercs are. It's not our place to judge their morals. You know nothing of John Snow! :)
    Instant Tack, for when you look at glue dots and realize you need a bigger caliber!
