This is just mind blowing!!!! In a world of green screens (not thats it's wrong) we barely see hand-drawn backgrounds and sets that really exists.the effort and design in this film is sooooo amazing and will definitely check it out in the theater!! I really enjoyed this video..hope its a 2 hr long full descripted one 😀 he's an incredibly creative designer
It really is amazing all the little details that are worked into the backgrounds of each scene, and oftentimes like this fellow said, due to lighting or camera placement you don't even see them! Such hard work!
Thank you for this super informative video on all the intricate details and hard work that was put into this movie. I love 'The Nutcracker' story and read the book aloud to my elementary students. I also saw the movie despite not so good reviews and I loved the movie from the whimsy of it and also the message/importance of having strong positive parental influences in a young person's life.
This video and education was a wonderful small Christmas gift. A nice surprise that I didn't expect. Thank you. Happy holidays everyone here commenting.
this is honestly the biggest waste of resources. the sets, costumes, and other visual details were AMAZING, while the storyline and some of the actors were absolutely horrible. this had the potential to be a visually stunning and heart warming film but whoever handled the latter definitely did not have even half of the competence that this guy did.
I agree. A lot of the scenes are either overlit or underlit. You're not able to see and appreciate the tremendous amount of beautiful details because you can't really see them.
As much as I appreciated the details of the set, it’s too much money spent on doing something that can be replaced with cgi. I agree that foreground elements should always be real because the actor has interact directly with it but other than that any background elements should be cgi. It’s an economical way of doing it especially if you’re using the set only once and it shows up seconds on the screen
So amazing, I really admire Set Designers for their endless creativity. Bravo!

This was THE most informative and educational video I have seen of TH-cam this year. Thank you Guy!

I loved this, didn’t even wait for my daughters to watch it with me just sent share 😂
I want a set designer to design my entire home.
Fabulous. What an absolute joy!
More! More! More please!
I’d love to see one of these for “Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood,” just because of the marvelously extreme measures taken to recreate 1960’s L.A.
Wonderful sets but it seems like the lighting/color grading didn't do it much justice.

will you guys do a video on the algonquin hotel next
Loved your movie!

Art and economics don't always go hand in hand. Art and authenticity is priceless!
I saw the movie. It was decent at best. It was very disappointing because it looked good in the trailers.
Crazy
Fabulous
Who thought he was the guy that voices Mario
It sucks the script wasn't very interesting because the production design was very nice
