Know yourself and what you want to do, this is so true. At first I was the Art Director, Production Designer, Prop Master and Set Designer (nonunion) and then I would just be what I love which is be an artist and design as a Production Designer.
I hate to say this but a lot modern art ( music, theatre and visual) reminds me of when you order a homemade wedding cake by a world renown baker just eat the icing around the edges. It’s as though there is an allergy to those who’ve come before us and paved the way.
