The Ml had 5 years to appreciate and love the Fl, but he chose to ignore her, did not appreciate the little things she did just for him and openly said he preferred another woman. Two of the Ml's friends even told him, make sure you don't lose something before you regret it, and it's after you lose something that it is more precious. The Ml regretted but it was too late for any redemption. I loved that the resilient and strong Fl had had enough and divorced the Ml to be free to face her terminal illness alone and never gave him any chance. The tragic ending was extreme karma for this Ml. Moral: Treat people well because you will miss them when they are gone!

Exactly!!!! He missed her dedication to him not her as his wife. His missed having her pour energy into him so he can pour into the mistress. His ego was shattered when she who he knew loved him so much let him know she no longer found him to be worth her time. The mistress also need her to play the nag so she can play the damsel.
That was not a man who made mistakes but truly loved his wife. That was an abuser going crazy looking for his "property" after she had the nerve to escape him. Death was truly her only escape from him.
I wonder what kind of Buddha teaching the FL had been taught to have that high level of patience and compassion to put up with that scumbag dan love him for wholly 6 years, coming from a rich family that's a given, I always thought rich lady naturally born with pride and elegance. I mean I come from a poor family and live in a very patriarchal society but still I wouldn't let myself be treated worse than a dog.
I honestly am not too mad about the ending. The FL unfortunately needed to die to finally get the peace that she deserved. As always the MLs in these storylines never know how to cherish what they have until they loose it. I find it so fascinating how the brain can change from having hated your own wife for 6 years to all of a sudden realising you loved your wife although you treated her like she wasn’t a human being. Very crazy to me. I hope the ML lives with the guilt of having basically put the FL to her death. Of course it would have been nice to see the FL not die and live either independently with herself or to have a happy ending with the SML. But I think the ending was good in my opinion. Good watch. The FL didn’t allow herself to be swayed when the ML finally realised he messed up.
I saw another one exactly like this in which the SML was the doctor and she survived and married the SML. I think that was a much better ending .. wth should that poor female die just to make the creepazoid repent? Anyway He repented enough in the version I saw 😅

The sad part is that if she hadn't gotten brain cancer, she would still be with him. This situation is partially her fault for allowing him blame her for everything and treat her with contempt. This submissiveness is why he believed she would put up with his cold violence forever. As long as she does not draw a firm line with him, he will feel no urgency to change his behavior. It is ridiculous that she cooked dinner for him when she waited at home to give him the divorce papers. This continued subservience, even while asking for divorce, is part of the reason he never takes her seriously. If she wanted to save her marriage, she should have put him on probation after the first year of this mistreatment, perhaps even sooner. It should have been explained to him that probation means she will do nothing for him until he earns back her goodwill and demonstrates that she can trust him to, at the very least, treat her with respect and consideration. Make it clear that if he is still acting this way after the probationary period ends, the next step is separation and/or divorce.
It would've been nice to see the FL have a happy ending like in some other versions. The FL dying is still better than her going back to the ML. The SML, once again, is a wonderful, loving and supportive man. He ended up with a broken heart. The writers must create these to make us cry or piss us off. Rarely is there a true happy ending. *There are enough changes in this versions so that you won't regret watching it.

Oh boy. This is an altered script of a similar drama and all the changes are for the worst in my opinion. Spoiler: in the original FL gets a happy ending but in this one she dies. Its pretty morbid. Some people like the sadder endings and this is miserable. It feels like no one wins, no one gets justice or satisfaction... it just ends. The only way it could have been sadder and more realistic is if the ML moved on, got over his guilt and just seemed to keep living happily till he was 80, unpunished for his cruelty. I like the other version better but this one has some merits... just don't go in expecting a happy ending like the other.

I think I saw that version too. I saw another one where her husband got a mistress pregnant and then she got pregnant but she needed to terminate in order to live but the husband forced her to keep the child since the mistress lost hers and because he wanted to punish her. She lost her life in the end and she didn't let him have anything to do with the child. He gave up his business and his properties to the child then ended his life by her gravesite.

Don't get me wrong, I love to watch these dramas because they're entertaining. But what I find fascinating in these tropes is that the MLs do not seek forgiveness they always want reconciliation after minimum effort.
Better versions out there. This adaptation cut too much out...all the years of cold violence, obsession with another woman. Him throwing this long pity for one is so annoying. Never any self awareness or reflection to justify it...just that he lost his property. Check other versions for a better insight to the story. Have to give this one 5/10.

Don't get me wrong, I love to watch these dramas because they're entertaining. But what I find fascinating in these tropes is that the MLs do not seek forgiveness they always want reconciliation after minimum effort.

Better versions out there. This adaptation cut too much out...all the years of cold violence, obsession with another woman. Him throwing this long pity for one is so annoying. Never any self awareness or reflection to justify it...just that he lost his property. Check other versions for a better insight to the story. Have to give this one 5/10.
