It's a definitely a bug with the cat's passive and unintended. It's 50-50 whether they will remove that interaction or actually add it to his text. Incoming Void Legendary that officially does this in any case.
Hey Deadwood great video. Just ventured into hard spider and don't know if anyone else has discovered this as yet but ultimate death knights passive healing works when the spider heals on HP burns. I was running miscreated/sicia/artak/apoth/udk. Every time she heals from the spiderling HP burns udk healed for like 20k too.
There's no exploit here with akemtum's passive. It just makes your poisons work like HP burns on hexed enemies. There may be additional damage received due to the bug with multi hit skills that was mentioned in the Digest, but I expect any fix will just slow the run down slightly, not make it ineffective as a strategy.
Nice find and seems to work with the combo I made as well. I used Ruel the Huntmaster, Nekmo Thaar, Akemtum, Miscreated Monster, and Pythion to see it that would change things but it seemed to work even with my gear at mid game.
Pulled Akemtum a couple days ago and he's awesome. But keeping him alive is a bit of a struggle for me. Good in Fireknight too. Also, I've got Michinaki which he's awesome with. But there's some Michinaki bug, at least on mobile, where some in some dungeons you get an error and thrown back to home. So I can't even play them together 😒. Support says it's known but is a hard fix. Hope they take care of it soon.
I have a 2 minute run with Venus and Mithrala doing all the damage. so something about poison plus Hex is definitely happening. I have Venus' HP burn turned off and have them open with poison and Hex.
old video, i know. i was trying this right now for the epic nly spider tourney thats going on. did they change how much damage akemtums passive does? i have hex on everyone and multiple poisons out and it only gets the boss to about 60% of its max HP, which sucks cause it means the team can no longer get it done in 2 rounds. so it seems this is no longer possible?
Akemtum is awesome for this but it's not just with his passive hex plus aoe damage (specifically multi hits it looks like) seems to spread the overkill damage through the hex too so killing all the spiderlings does like 3x as much damage as it normally would I'm pretty sure it's a bug but maybe it's just how hex plus this new mechanic for spider works? who knows i cant get past spider 16 already cuz no hp burn and now i def cant do hard mode cuz no hex champs either :p

I achieved it with the cat and kaymar at levels 50 loool (After the boss's first attack, use mediator to revive them and for the poison i use orn) Thank you so much
it's the hard spider that's broken not Akemtum. Try to do the same thing to normal spider it will not work and ok ok normal have the passive that reduce dmg from poison but it's not immune it reduce so should work and do just less dmg but it's not working on normal. Correct me if I am wrong.
i dont think his passive is a glitch, but the damage hard spider takes from killing its spiderlings could be treated as a poison. patching that will probably only lead people to combining a poison exploder to trigger it manually anyway
The problem I am having, is getting TO stage 10. I currently cannot beat stage 8, or I know I would be able to do stage 10 with my current team and it's quite frustrating when every CC video only focuses on stage 10 and you can see in the videos that they have no even attempted the other stages, since they just assume everyone can get there.
The mother spider takes damage from poison and spread it to the spiderings through hex and kills them. This should be the mechanic and I don't think Plarium is able to fix that unless they nerf the hex debuff or buff the spider's resistance or other stats.
Probably the damage that poison debuff does to the boss is the whole hp of a spiderling so obviously kills the little spiders and the boss takes damage from that. Is a cool setup , lets hope they wont change that
@@DeadwoodJedi It is stage 1. That might be affecting the speeds of the spiders and spiderlings? It felt like that ratio would be the same the whole way through. But, I'll try to get to 10 and check.
why should they fix it when Teodor and Scicia are kind of the same kind of "broken" for regular spider speed runs, I have pulled consistent 18 sec spider 25 runs with Scicia and it was never broken just the way it worked turned out to be quite nice for speed runs. I hope they dont fix this or screw us over would be my opinion on this.
@@DeadwoodJedi im pretty sure they did die from all the poison procs thats why the spider took all the damage or it would be around 30% dmg dealt. I have hex team too and its hella fun 😂
Hmm, I think you're basically right. What I'm pretty sure is happening: The main spider has so much HP that Akemtum's damage from his passive is enough that one poison tick on the main spider kills off every spiderling before it can devour them. Then because of the (unintentional?) effect where hex something like doubles the damage from killing spiderlings, in total it does ~60% of HP damage to the main spider.

Can you report after the patch if this is still viable because many people don't have this champions upgraded

Did they 'fix' this? I am using richtoff and kael for poison, and Thylessia and Akentum for hex, and seeker for speed, its not working for me ah well
