Same here, if there's a wait to pick up second order i cancel it. I've seen drivers multi apping double orders at the same time, picking up the first order and leaving with the fourth over half an hour later. Nice stone cold meal for the first customer at least.
W for not waiting for the 2nd order. My mcdonalds was really cold once because the guy picked up my order, WENT TO A NEIGHBOURING TOWN and picked up another guys order and then came to me. More drivers like you should exist.
3:35, got to be careful about that 'sleep is for the weak' stuff, and 'hustle culture' in general. If it helps you get fired up and motivated then that's great but you've got to be mindful of burnout and putting too much pressure on yourself. Rest also has a place. That being said, you're smashing the videos and have been for a while, long may it continue but not at the cost of your health mate.

The distinct lack of tipping is unbelievable. I don’t use food deliveries a lot but I would never take a delivery and not give something. Even if it was only £2.00 it would all add up for the driver.
I usually tip, I only don’t when I’m struggling for money. Sounds dumb but sometimes when times are hard you need to spend on a little treat just to keep your sanity ha. Otherwise yeah, typically I tip 15-20% but after the order’s arrived. Most drivers get the tip, but once in a blue moon you get a poor service.
Can't believe how few people tip I always tip £5 for all my food deliveries as I know how hard your job is and appreciate having my meal delivered to my door

I do Deliveroo myself I find that Friday Saturday and Sunday are the best days in my area I live in a little village but I can make £100/£150 working from about 4/5pm till about 10/11pm I went out yesterday at 7 was home at 9 and made £48.50
Reminds me of my pizza delivery days. It was pre cell phone, you had to have a paper map with you. If you can't find the address find a payphone and call! 😁 Good money back then as it was cash only and keep the change was common.

I think personally the companies should be paying more to drivers because you have your kit to purchase and maintain and insurance and running cost . I don't see anywhere on these videos that it talk about pensions for long term riders are there no contribution schemes available to start paying your pensions, what happens if a fall off the bike or crash or your sick I don't know about all this but it seems to me that it's very underpaid I am sorry if that's wrong , You don't get MPs working 8hrs per day for 100 pounds do we . Very good work 👍

Be careful with parking at places for electric vehicles. At least in Amsterdam that means that its only for when you need to charge your vehicle. When the city sees a vehicle thats not plugged in, they will tow it, electric or no.
Next time I visit south east London will make sure I order more deliveroo. I lived in London for 17 years, now in Cornwall with no takeaway deliveries at all… 😭😭
What are your thoughts given Deliveroo is leaving countries with little or no notice? In Australia (where I live) they left without notice. I know this is your side job, but there'd be a lot of people who'd be affected.

Your videos are excellent, what equipment do you use? I have a GoPro but I don't know how to connect a microphone to it to stay inside the helmet. And I understand why some restaurants ask you to accept the order before handing you the package, unfortunately there are hundreds of drivers who steal food. Because of these people, several actions are taken by companies to reduce the damage.
Question does the battery last longer in summer or in winter can u get some soil panel on top of you box so when u are working in the daytime waiting for orders can give you battery a little change up
Some places ask you to accept the order because of what you were saying, orders being taken and then rejected after they taken it. The restaurant I used to work for had a lot of issues with this so started making sure orders were being accepted in front of staff before leaving. Yes It can sound a bit rude but sadly some drivers have ruined it for the honest ones and just have to accept it and not take offence to it.
I fully understand but restaurants need to do more by reporting those individuals that choose to steal orders, it's not fair on us riders who care about the job and do it correctly being treated like we are in the same category as those who steal, If I was a restaurant owner and a rider stole an order I'd make sure to get every single peice of evidence to submit to deliveroo uber eats etc to ensure their account is closed and they are thrown off the app for good. I guess it's just something we will have to put up with until these low lifes are all off the app

The restaurant can report it yes but it’s reliant on firstly remembering the name on the order as once the order has been rejected you can no longer see it on the tablet and there’s no history, also restaurants don’t see rider ID only the name and when you report it to Deliveroo they literally don’t do anything about it it’s really infuriating, the restaurant are automatically charged for the order once a refund request has been submitted and it’s very difficult to get it overturned even with a record of having reported it, also the time it takes to report this is stupidly long, even when made a note of this in service and dealt with it later it takes up so much time to the point where restaurant support have actually said to ask the riders to confirm the orders while present and have implemented a notice for riders as I’ve dealt with a lot of riders who turn up without a bag, a bag that doesn’t fit Pizzas or even show up with a supermarket bag and have drivers who argue and don’t know the difference between a supermarket bag that’s not designed to transport freshly prepared hot food and a delivery bag that is (I wish I was joking about that but sadly I’m not). I lost count the amount of hours I’ve lost during the daytime chasing issues like this and others and have even escalated it to higher ups at Deliveroo. You’d be surprised at the headache restaurants have with dealing with restaurant support and Uber is even worse. There’s so much that riders don’t see behind the scenes in terms of obstacles that make it extremely difficult for restaurants to compel at issues and it costs the restaurants a lot of money as a result and I’m talking hundreds of pounds in refunds not to mention having to remake the order and also getting a negative review through no fault of the restaurant. I’m lucky enough that I have experience both as a restaurant manager dealing with Uber and Deliveroo and also being a rider for both apps that I have a understanding of both sides. I see your point and I got annoyed at first when being asked while barely getting hold of the order but now I’ve seen the other side Im more understanding as to why riders are asked. Ones who are regular and known it’s not something that needs to be asked. Ultimately the support that the apps have in place for riders as well as restaurants is sub standard and all they say is to have measures in place to prevent orders being stolen or other issues. @@LondonEats Btw I ride a WAU bike (start of last year I got one) after seeing your videos on it and love it, not sure if you’ve had this issue or not but sadly the 100mile battery only gets me around 30 miles at the moment, have been told it’s because of a software problem and not the battery as it did it on the 40 mile battery I used to have and as I live nowhere near Nottingham I’ll need to go to Fix your cycle where you got yours repaired to see if they can go anything about it so have had to stop delivering til I get it sorted.
I hope you don't find it rude when shops ask you to accept. I m sure it was not personal. They remind all riders as they leave with the food because they get so many missed deliveries, where they have upset customers calling to complain and new riders popping up to collect the same missing orders. Sometimes, they even have people coming in to pick up the orders, but the person showing up to pick up was not the person indicated on the delivery order panel. In most cases, with upset customers, they will end up getting bad reviews. Missing orders also results in the shop having to remake the order. If the shop falls below 3 stars, they risk getting removed from the delivery platform. I hope this helps everyone, be it riders or customers, to understand this industry and understand how everything works. See the full picture, so to speak.

you also have to pay for your own bike, the tyres and upkeep. also your clothes. you dont get cheaper food unlike a real job and you also need to pay for accident insurance yourself and also put away money for retirement. you dont have any pto or sick leave. from the 100gbp you "make" you actually keep like 35 tbh. after tax
I would just like to say I used to work in coffee and dessert shop I understand that you may be annoyed when a order is late for pick up but please understand that when its busy we have to concentrate on the customer first and then the delivery order sorry if this sounds rude

Here in the Netherlands they left also, but with notice and they payed us a very good compensation. 45% of the money we have made last year

@@LondonEats Btw I ride a WAU bike (start of last year I got one) after seeing your videos on it and love it, not sure if you’ve had this issue or not but sadly the 100mile battery only gets me around 30 miles at the moment, have been told it’s because of a software problem and not the battery as it did it on the 40 mile battery I used to have and as I live nowhere near Nottingham I’ll need to go to Fix your cycle where you got yours repaired to see if they can go anything about it so have had to stop delivering til I get it sorted.
I hope you don't find it rude when shops ask you to accept. I m sure it was not personal. They remind all riders as they leave with the food because they get so many missed deliveries, where they have upset customers calling to complain and new riders popping up to collect the same missing orders. Sometimes, they even have people coming in to pick up the orders, but the person showing up to pick up was not the person indicated on the delivery order panel. In most cases, with upset customers, they will end up getting bad reviews. Missing orders also results in the shop having to remake the order. If the shop falls below 3 stars, they risk getting removed from the delivery platform. I hope this helps everyone, be it riders or customers, to understand this industry and understand how everything works. See the full picture, so to speak.
Can u explain the deliveroo addition and the other thing u went to? I live in rural Scotland and I know about just eat and knew about Uber eats and deliveroo but I'm amazed at how this works
Have you noticed your order volume pick up since going from ebike to moped?
To be honest not a huge increase but the drops definitely are further and paying more
Going to moped from normal bike, orders picked up quite a bit. I ride in Nottingham
I've made the decision to work on a moped for the winter months and ebike in the summer, it's GRIM riding in the winter on an ebike

I'm wondering how is it with the taxes? I understand from what you earn through Deliveroo and Uber, or any other app, you have to pay taxes from your self employed account? If so, what is the actual pay you get against the 100 gbp? Thanks mate for this, it's very satisfying to watch.
you also have to pay for your own bike, the tyres and upkeep. also your clothes. you dont get cheaper food unlike a real job and you also need to pay for accident insurance yourself and also put away money for retirement. you dont have any pto or sick leave. from the 100gbp you "make" you actually keep like 35 tbh. after tax

I would just like to say I used to work in coffee and dessert shop I understand that you may be annoyed when a order is late for pick up but please understand that when its busy we have to concentrate on the customer first and then the delivery order sorry if this sounds rude
I understand but if the restaurant can't cope with the orders coming through then switch it off, I HATE restaurants that lie and say 5 mins and it's more like 20 mins

So annoying you have to wait ages for the food!! Can't they install a food ready button in the restaurant so it then calls you rather than having you waiting around and then ending up walking out with nothing! Waste of everyones time
