@@velynda_lee I'mma be honest; it's good but it's also not good. There are lines that sound fine, but then other lines don't carry that same tone. It felt like Talon was trying too hard to immitate Adam. Definitely feels like a voice direction kind of thing. I hope they can give this guy a moment to actually flesh out his own take on Argenti and not a copy-paste. Also, his battle lines... maybe they sound better in-game. I finally downloaded HSR so, if I can get him on the next re-run, hopefully I get to experience them.
The new VA direction seems like an act play. It's not bad, but this Argenti seems more like a Don-Quixote esque individual rather than an actual knight.
@mariapazgonzalezlesme yes I can agree with that It's quite different,, quite hard to get used to but I'm willing to put my faith in taron he really is doing his best 🥲🥹🌹
I was sad when they announced they changed his voice. Adam was doing just fine in my opinion, but I'm gonna support the new VA. While I'm not used to his new voice, I'll keep my faith in Talon.
you can see how different the voice direction is with the About Himeko voiceline. the new va's delivery just pales in comparison to the softness and warmth in the old va; hes got too much bravado. its really disappointing 💔
@meltycharmz its quite upsetting. It seems to be a voice direction thing,, but I have faith the new VA can improve as it goes on 🥲🙏🌹he's clearly very talented regardless,,!
I was looking to see if the English voiceover had finally been fixed (I chose to stop playing in 2.3 until it was fixed) and I stumbled on your video. Oh man, I didn’t expect this. I really liked Adam’s interpretation of the character. He made Argenti sound chivalrous, not only in being brave and devoted to his cause, but also soft and attentive of others’ sensibilities. The new voice isn’t bad, but I feel Talon performance focuses too much on a booming voice, which quickly feels same-y and a bit more stereotypical if I can write it this way. He also has a lower voice, which probably doesn’t help with the less-uniqueness in my opinion. Adam had fluctuations in his tone and rhythm. His lines don’t always flow the same, which is nice and sounds natural. That written, Talon seems to be pretty novice in the industry (at least his Behind the Voice Actors profile has very few credited roles, even though Adam doesn’t have many either), so he has the potential to get better with time.
Personally, I prefer the old voice better. The softer and breathier delivery of the lines captures the romantic aspect of his personality without being cheesy. His new voice isn’t bad, but it lacks that romantic quality to it. Not to mention that at times, the new voice sounds like an over-the-top theatre play (like in his ultimate: unleash) and I can’t help but cringe a little. The old voice gives an impression of a chivalrous knight, while the new voice gives an impression of a flirtatious Casanova. No hate to the new VA, although I am side-eying the voice director for this change in direction.
@wheattins9250 I honestly really liked the voice direction for him in the 2.4 companion mission when he appeared actually . While I do agree with the battle voicelines, I believe they are doing quite well with some of the newer lines in quest (I'll be sure to upload them soon aswell)
How do you guys feel about the new voice changes? I personally am getting used to it 🌹
i hate it
@@pepsi-official-0 understandable 😔
its not bad at all, but the old one feels more passionated and more "blue prince vibes"

his new voice feels more like sparkle impersonating argenti rather than actual argenti, it just doesn’t feel like him anymore :/

I’ll be honest, I love both. New Argenti sounds a bit goofier and I like it, while Old Argenti was more soft.
I dont know what direction they gave the new VA but its not as nice :( Fire the director
Would have to agree tbh 😂
Markiplier?

The new VA lacks the warmth.
