After Charley Crockett, this is the newest country-adjacent artist that has really grabbed me. Really hope his career takes off. Saw him in Austin at White Horse and it was incredible!
There is something Jim Croce about him when his voice goes soft and trails off. Beautiful. Just wonderful.. I want more from Todd. I will now be searching for all his music. Such a great way to awake on a hungover Monday morning. Thanks Anthony. Thanks Todd.
The message behind this song is very true. As someone who suffers from anxiety this rings a bell in my head. An old man recently taught me that if you always listen to your heart, you will never do wrong in your life. And now, listening to this song grants some reassurance that he was right, even though I know that old guy was speaking the truth from the start.
I have no earthly idea why nobody is gathering around to listen to this fantastic Cat. I really love what you got going on. Good luck in your travels. Godspeed.
They say time It can change Lord everything A poor man rich A good man blind They say fix your gaze Straight ahead, And you’ll be fine Heart over mind But somethings calling Somethings calling me I hear it calling, I hear it calling me And I know and I know It won’t let me be They time it can change Lord everything A poor man rich A good man blind They say fix your gaze Straight ahead and you’ll be fine Heart over mind Yes you’ll be fine Heart over mind

I've been following this channel for a good while now, and yet somehow I'd never watched/listened to this before now, after seeing this guy added to the lineup for Muddy Roots festival. The heck is wrong with me?! That was fantastic! Reminded me of Jerry Jeff Walker in parts - specifically No Roots In Ramblin', possibly my favourite song of his.
100/0 for live performances in my books, for whatever that's worth.😂(likely nil) But!... Personally I prefer the live performances over the "album versions" most of the time(from what I've personally listened too n seen, the raw versions feel more "real" than the studio recordings.) Again all just an opinion

Thanks Anthony.
Thanks Todd.
Its definently his looks for sure... Before I ever heard his voice all I th and thought was, Jim Croce...
I'm hearing a lot of Willie Nelson in his voice, and that's fine by me.

I'm getting the warmest Willie Nelson type vibe and I love it.
This channel is always gold.

They say time It can change
Lord everything
A poor man rich
A good man blind
They say fix your gaze
Straight ahead,
And you’ll be fine
Heart over mind
But somethings calling
Somethings calling me
I hear it calling, I hear it calling me
And I know and I know
It won’t let me be
They time it can change
Lord everything
A poor man rich
A good man blind
They say fix your gaze
Straight ahead
and you’ll be fine
Heart over mind
Yes you’ll be fine
Heart over mind
I always be scrolling for the lyrics. Thank you

What does heart over mind mean?
60/50 heart/mind
Listen to your heart more often than your inner monologue. Chase your dreams without thinking to much about it.
got that bruce campbell face
60/50
60/50? I lived in rural Missouri , and this is typical - the get it close, but not quite the way the rest of the world gets it.
It's good to hear real music now a days with all this auto tune and computerized instraments!!!!!
He sounds alot like Roger Miller.
He's trying a little too hard to be Hank 4 / coleman
