Great images as always Richard. I could be way off beam, but the mystery car approximately 12 minutes in could be based on an Amilcar(C6?). The radiator shell has similarities. It's difficult to judge scale though.
Another great collection here as always very interesting. You can see why people would built specials back in the day. The car is very battered but the engine and chassis is sound so 'throw on' a new body and why not? I love the photos of racing, you can almost feel the determination of the drivers in the shots. Thanks Rick once again for putting this together. 👍👍
Another great collection of nostalgic photos! I am pretty sure the large, left-hand photo of the SS Tourer at 06:42 was taken at Trebarwith Strand in North Cornwall. It's especially nice to see my Dad's Singer 9 featured, as well as a couple of others later in the collection. I live in hope (albeit very slim) that someone might recognise the car and be able to add something to its history. When years later I asked my Dad what happened to the car, his reply was (sadly) "probably scrapped"!
Mom had 2 brothers who served during WWII. Both were in England, after the war. 7:41 Over time , they managed to ship an MG TC , in parts, back home to the U.S. [ apparently, this was sort of a thing (?).]. When they got home, they reassembled it, and it was my mom’s first car. Great photos. 📻🙂
I like the look of the factory Lancia Fulvia as shown at 4.15. For those interested, Mustie1 (on TH-cam) is currently playing with a left hand drive MGTD that has been in a dry garage for 45 years.
