The Last CIWL Sleeper Car

My little Orient Express fact finding mission led me to Amfikleia in Greece, on a quest for the last remaining CIWL sleepr car of the pre-WWI era. This is the same car that was used as reference for the Jordan Mechner game “The Last Express” Over 25 years ago and sadly it fell into disrepair over the years. I was surprised that no one covered this particular railway gem before, so here is my take on what was once a beautiful all-teak train car.

At 3:00 those are Romanian made LDH80 locos! They were very popular around Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
