As an older Black man born in 1955 in New York City (Manhattan), it is good to read and hear news about a Black man achieving oppose to being on the evening news for a crime committed.
He won in a landslide--and remember this is after 2 terms of a very well-liked Repub governor, Larry Hogan (moderate and an anti-trumper.) Maryland is a "blue" state, but there are pockets of ultra conservatives and right-wing religious here, at least where I live.
