"What ? Are we playing ? Yayyy :3"
"Wait what do mean I've been doing wrong things the whole time ??? D: "

Now I imagine purple cat and collector being friends ^^
I love this purple little weirdo sm I want to hug them
Looks amazing! There were definitely some scenes that looked like a nightmare to animate but goddamn did they turn out super good. Should be proud of yourself!
Of course, a big ol applause for the other members of this project too. I even recognize one. Hope you're doing well!
That was purple creature was surprisingly cute. Also congratulations!
If I saw that giant purple cat thing behind me I'd say *"omg new friend!"*
"Take this mission seriously."
*IN A VILLAGE WITH NOTHING BUT CATS?! N E V E R .*
SO SICK!! Was a joy seeing this from beginning of development and such an inspiration. Your dedication to this project and your craft really shined in this film Alyssia! Congrats on finishing and graduating!! Can't wait to see what you make next :D~
I enjoy this so much! Amazing content, best wishes to you and your future projects! 🌻
lovEE this world omg!! the kitty characters are so cute and i feel so bad for the creature. this was such a wild and amazing ride 💗
I agree, hope to see these characters again someday.
I perfectly know that this will be popular in the future... no, not in the future. It wil get it's popularity *soon*.
Very astonishing and great work, my guy! Keep it up.
I can definitely see the potential for an animated series here.
A fine addition to my collection
I'm sure they'll meet again if the series continues
This was so fun to see in a theater AWESOME stuff!!
OMG I LOVE THAT PURPLE THING SO MUCH
I foresee this blowing up in the future, very cool animation!
Did Purplebeast possess the child to feed them, or did the child get hungry while being possessed? It clearly doesn't know what possession is, so its response ('it was hungry') could have been about the theft or the possession being bad. Who knows!
This is great! I especially love the design of the purple critter, the one thing that I’d say needed a bit of work was the audio mixing, but the animation was stunning!
. . . it looks like Jax . . . and i can't unsee it😔
Fr
So, uh… handling utensils must be annoying for them
If it’s meant to be deeper than a cute, stretchy, purple creature, are they a sort of personification of desperation? A mass that’s doing bad things, but for the sake of aiding someone in a rough time and who is objectively not a “monster” in the eyes of someone who has the full picture.
I’m so glad I could help you out with this, it’s came out soooo good omg!!!!
This makes me feel very happy
THIS IS SO COOOOL!!!!!!

I wish she adopted the purple shaftshing cat!
Words can’t express how much I love this, but kind of like other short films the audio and sound effects feel a little lacking
1:06 hey that’s not blood
get up!
Is it me, or does the face of the purple cat remind me of Jax for TADC (very pretty animation)
i like this thesis
This is cool
If I may share a criticism with this delicately crafted indie animation.
After watching the animation in whole, I couldn't help but feel greatened saddened by the theme that it presented. The animation depicts a creature which is capable of exhibiting common human emotion, but which cannot understand the deeper moral implications of it's actions, and thus is shunned by the society it inhabits by being depicted as an unfeeling monster who deserves to die.
This writing has been utilized in other indie animations and even movies beforehand, however this is not a flaw with the movie at all, as originality can never really serve a good foundation for a criticism. Infact, really this criticism is pointed more towards the theme this animation presented rather than the animation itself. The problem that I have with this particular theme is that the writing of the character and the society around said character don't seem to necessarily mesh together, which ends up making it seem as though the conflict of the story was created specifically to touch the viewers feelings with the depicted conflict.
To elaborate on what I mean by the two subject's writing not connecting; if a society were to develop over time in a world where creatures such as depicted in this animation existed, and could interact with said society as it grew more advanced, then there's a very good chance that the inhabitants of the society would eventually learn about the characteristics of this kind of creature, and they would allow them to adapt to society. In this animation, our main protagonist ends up connecting with this creature, as if it was the first time anyone in that society ever was able to!
It's not as if the civilians were unfamiliar with this creature, as the second they learn about it's presence, they seem to have a set in stone mindset of what it is, and apparently how to deal with it. For some reason this story was written with the idea that everyone has the set in stone knowledge that these things are dangerous, despite never elaborating the reasoning behind such a hostile perception of them. Ultimately what this animation ended up doing was making us feel a sense of frustration and sadness upon the realization of the tragedy depicted that this creature is unfairly shunned by the society it inhabits, intentionally tugging at our heart strings by neglecting a foundation of reasoning for the perception of the society on this creature.
Now, please let it be known that I do not think that this animation is bad in anyway shape or form. The person behind this animation is extremely talented, and they have a lot of potential to become something great one day with their ability to make something this well crafted. This criticism that I am making is based purely off a personal viewpoint that I have for writing in general, and I do not want what I say to in anyway negatively affect Yowns own feelings toward their movie. Perhaps this criticism might serve as a sort of inspiration for Yowns' future writing, if they are planning on crafting a story similar to the one displayed in this animation.
Thank you so much for reading and listening. I hope you have a nice day, and a wonderful future.

Is it me, or does the giant purple head remind anyone of Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus
LETS GOOO THIS CAME OUT SO GOOD DUDE 🎉🎉🎉
Just a question what is this creature based on any specific mythology you drew on relevant to location?
Not neccesarily based on a mythology, but definitely inspired by green-banded broodsacs.
@@Yowns Ah so that's the name of those parasites understandable and imaginative choice.
Amazing choreography in the action sequences, but i feel the start of it was a bit slow to get into and a bit of a generic setting, but the character designs and abilities are clean, distinct and original.
:D
It very unfortunate to release this pilot/short film/trailer right after poppy playtime chapter 3
