Thanks for sharing! Salesforce has many different paths to be successful and make a good salary!
Disclaimer: You won't START at 100k+...
But you can get there pretty fast (less than 1 year), especially if you put the time in and participate in your job or the larger community.
Everything else is true; rewarding, high demand, and if you do fear job security, these are transferrable skills as long as you're focused on becoming a SOFTWARE ENGINEER who develops on Salesforce rather than a "Salesforce Developer"!

The sky is the limit for developers. The best thing you can do is learn the fundamentals of development. After that you can switch between languages. Full stack and Salesforce dev are both good career paths. Try to figure out what you like doing more. Dive deep into sleeper development for a few months then switch to JS.

How will this upcoming recession effect saleaforce an the developer job market in yours opinion. Is there such a backlog of opening it want really be felt by new devs ? Or what's your thoughts.
Salesforce jobs are pretty sticky. Company can't just up and switch to another system overnight. The recession may make jobs harder to find but they will still be there. Other opportunities may open up like freelancing and contract work.
