Thanks for the vid. Interesting you say about misreading on the green tape. Different coloured backgrounds are used to aid people with dyslexia. Not sure what I'm trying to say but good to know. I need a new tape so will steer clear of all but yellow. Thanks

My dewalt 5m lasted me just over a year with almost everyday use. I have got dewalt 8m as well but that's too big in comparison to Stanley's 8m.

Do you work inside or outside ? Stanley's were notorious for rusting and the numbers coming off the blade ✌️

@@ProBuildCarpenter I work inside. I had bought dewalt 5m and 8m as a set from screwfix for just £12. I really liked the 5m one cause that's fit perfectly on my hand and the blade is i think 30mm wide. 8m is too bulky for me.

@@deepakkunwar8218 I have had the set too I can't find my 5m but still have the 8m somewhere the rubber blade lock switch is good on those tapes ✌️ thanks for watching

I've got the Stanley fat max without the changeable end and is my favourite, I also have the ox (3) but anything over 1.1m is a pain to real because of how they number the tape in my opinion, well it was a pain at first

The little silver and blue ox I like and it has grown on me but the one with a green blade is 🤮 it sends my eyes funny and I can't read it 🤣✌️

Also, these are all class 2 measuring tapes, mister 'proffesional'.
All the proffesional carpenters I know use class 1 measuring tapes.
I seriously doubt your pro status. Seeing the stuff you buy thinking it's good, man man man....

So let's recap how many times you have been wrong
You said I was using the wrong handed tap... Wrong I'm right handed so your original comment is void
You said all the major brands produce left handed tapes.. you posted the name of a double sided tape with no link not left handed so again you were wrong and it was a fail
Now you are talking about class 1 and 2 tapes 🤣 jeez you can't turn a tape around to measure from the other side so I don't think you need to be delving into tape grades and calibration
Anyway you take care and I hope your life improves so you don't feel the need to troll because you are a terrible troll I haven't even got annoyed which was disappointing it has been a fun I'm a level 7 troll I would rate you as a low level 4 Take care 😘 and please subscribe

Why are you using left handed measuring tapes when you are right handed? IF you read the numbers upside down you will make a lot of mistakes. I do not understand the logic behind this video. "here is the best measuring tape but you will have to read the numbers upside down!". This is bad advice to me and a whole lot of mistakes and wasted wood and tiles will be the result.

if you cannot read a number upside down then don't get into construction, unless you think you only measure in one direction 😂 also if you cannot transfer a line from one side of a tape measure blade then really really don't get into construction 👍

@@ProBuildCarpenter That's what you have tapes for with numbers on both sides...

@@itisi2615 😂 good luck finding one of those, professionals don't need numbers on Both sides that's why they don't make them, write to the manufacturers and tell them your thoughts 👍

@@ProBuildCarpenter Every major construction brand has double sided tape measuring tapes... If professionals didn't need them, who are they making them for then? Just for fun? But keep reading numbers upside down man.

@@itisi2615 Haha if you can post a link to one I will be very surprised also try out a left handed screwdriver or hammer 🔨 😂 quick question if I need to measure something from the other direction do I need to carry two tape measures around haha I'm a pro I don't need double sided numbers . PS I'm right handed with tools so not sure why you think I'm left handed 😂
