Hi friend, you can check whether your camera are match for your DVR, and whether they have same resolution.If not , you can go to DVR's Main Menu - Setup - Record - Record Bitrate to change the resolution to test .

After 4 1/2 hours of frustration trying to get my password to reset, I ended up throwing the whole system in the trash and going to bed. This morning I tried to look up you tube videos to help. This was the first one I came to. And thank God I did!! The calmness and preciseness of your instructions along with the calm of the music helped me put my system together the very first try. What size are the power supply plugs that go to the wireless cameras? The DC side
can i change the network ports to anything other than 80 for the http port? my zmodo now lets me use command mobile port media port and http port different than what it came with and it works on tinycam app good. it actually work over the internet with the mobile port good. with this one do the same on tinycam?
Will this system work if i want to install it outside of the US ? For example will it work in mexico ?

The DVR need connect to internet only when you need remote view it on your mobile phone or computer.If you don't need that,you can also install our DVR.
on 2:58 , startup wizard what is that after network setting? is it for recording, is it for display? and how do i go to that setting without restarting? Also how do i restart the dvr? Thanks
Restart because i dont get the Resolution Wizard settings unless it restarts.
Just right click mouse,and click Shut Down.And you boot it again.Your DVR will be restarded.
no it does not. When i shut down, it shuts down, I have to unplug everytime to start.
I'm sorry to tell you that there isn't a method to restart dvr unless you reset it.But please pay attention,once you reset dvr,all the information will gone.
Why i want to restart is to change the settings on 2:58 , the resolution and FPS from 1080p. I cannot access that unless i restart.
How costly (Power wise) are these to run 24/7 annually ? Oviously less if ran to motion record, but dollar value, how much roughly?
I noticed that there was a yellow box in the lower left corner while camera 1 was recording, any idea what that means? I know if its green its good but, what's yellow? Can find this info anywhere!!

How did you get it to only display 4 camera and not 8? we have 4 cameras set up and come in, but it changes to 4 more camera channels that are black and say video loss. We only have 4 and need those four channels displayed.

Hi Jimmy, you want zoom in the video when you watch it? Sorry our DVR dosen't have that function, but you can watch it in full screen if you want see it clearly.

Hi do you really need internet to work this security camera system ? I want to purchase but I do not have internet that's why I ask
I am trying to get the camera to show up on our MacBook and iPhones but there is no picture. We are in the USA. I have registered an account and add the DVR to the app but when I try Live View - nothing happens. We could see the camera on the TV when it was directly plugged in but we cannot get a wireless picture on our computer or phone. We tried changing it the option to PAL and now we see nothing on the TV. Now it says "video loss." What should we do?

How do I get online w my system w out a network cable
on the DRV, right click image and select multi view I pick Cameras 1-6 with the larger box for camera 1 and the rest 2-6 are smaller sized. Does the desk top app "Zosi View" have that same option for 6 cameras coming in a future update? posted may-1-2017
I‘m very sorry to tell you that it can't show like that in ZosiView.If you want view in a larger box,you can zoom it by double click the image.
I know it can not do that now. I'm asking is that a feature in future updates or do I need to use a 3rd party app that can? Please reread my question above.

ZOSI CCTV is there a trick to set up some audio?
Yes, you can.Please connect a sound to the Audio output port, and place the microphone in the location where you want to capture audio.
What kind of HDD would version ZR08ZN take
Hi, ZOSI dvr has no special requirements for HDD, can be worked with the HDD on the market. If you buy the ZOSI DVR with HDD, the HDD brand is Seagate.
I dont have WIFI. CAN i use my smartphone phone data to view on the ZOSI view app?
First, please make sure your recorder has been connected to the router via network cable. Then add the device to the APP, you can use the phone data to view the APP.
could you have ONE camera with the bnc cable hooked to an rca video cable (via a bnc to rca adapter) and then that rca connected to an lcd or monitor?
Sorry for the late response.And still feel sorry that the rca port can only be connected to DVR.It can not be connected directly to monitor.

Yes friend,you need a monitor for watch it.Because laptop can't connect to VGA and HDMI,so laptop can't instead of monitor.If you want view on laptop,you install a PC client on your laptop,which can download in zosi official website.

Dear friend,you can record only if your DVR has hard drive,it is not related to monitor.But if you don't want to install monitor,you will not view it live.
Hi, I just got my ZOSI CCTV system and I have done all the steps to connect to the dvr from my mobile app (android) but it always says "Buffering". It never shows video stream. Is this a known issue?

Please check if you see the zosi logo on tv. You can also try another HDMI/VGA cable connection to check. You can also contact our support email: service@zositech.com
Can't figure out how to playback. It makes you close the video you are currently playing, then says please select the channel even though I think I have! Impossible to work this thing! Customer service just ignores you too!

Been trying to figure out this stupid app forever... I can't seem to get it to work on my phone. I have an android phone. I downloaded the app. I entered the information. It seems that this video has missed a step where you have to also enter the ip address and the port. Not sure which port should be entered, or the ip address... My internet ip address is different from the ip address showing in the network for the DVR itself. Also, do you put the mobile port or server port? Not very happy about the app.... ALSO, do you have to be connected to the same network, or can you view your cameras away from home?

I set up my system and installed the RT3070 for wireless. Entered my Charter cable password for WiFi and went to my Android phone Zosi App for "live View" nothing. All I get on all 4 screens is "connecting failed". What is going on? Pictures show fine on my Vizio monitor.

Everytime I try to view video that has been recorded from the app it crashes and won't let me see the cameras anymore and then I have to reset the DVR to be able to see it on the mobile app again. Is there away to watch recorded footage via the app when you are not home and then be able to go back to live view without it crashing.

I am having big problems with this DVR System. First off, the DVR. i have the 1080p cameras and DVR, it didn't come with a hard drive so I bought a 2 TB refurbished one. Once in awhile (about every 3 days) I would get a error message saying "Disk Lost" so I would have to unplug the DVR and replug back in a minute later so it can reboot and start working again. Sometimes my only option is to unplug it to reset it because there are times it won't let me use the mouse when it happens, this started happening a week after i got the system. i figured it was the hard drive causing the problem so I went and bought a brand new 3 TB Hard drive but now i get the "Disk Lost" Error message everyday at least once. It's super annoying because if I am gone and it does that it will not record anything until i reset/unplug it! Secondly, the mobile app sucks big time! I can only get it working if I'm lucky. The DVR is directly connected to the router via Ethernet cable and I followed all the troubleshooting steps on the website making sure the right settings were enabled on the router and all of that. There are times when the app will say is buffering the video but then it afterwards it will say cannot connect or system is offline but then when I go to the DVR to test the network connection it says it was successful! So i don't know what's going on there. And lastly, I've have this system for almost 4 months and a month ago the little cooling fan in the DVR gave out! It started making a SUPER loud noise and at first i thought it was the Hard Drive but once i opened it up i found out it was the fan. 2 days later it completely gave out and I have to buy another one. This whole system has caused me nothing but problems so far and has not worked the way I have wanted it to. The cameras are just fine and have a really nice picture but other than that everything else is jacked! Please help!

I have a Dynamic IP adress, meaning the IP adress change. will the mobile app work anyway?
Does it require me to open ports in port-forwarding?
No friend, you needn't open ports in port-forwarding.And even the IP address changed,the mobile can still work normally.
Can I connect the DVR to my PC and record onto the PC hard drive?
Yes you can connect DVR to your PC.As long as your DVR has hard drive,you can record video.

The previous one worked with The Zosi view which works great the new one works with Zosi smart which I am not liking. Is there any way to rig the new model to work with the older software? I cant watch the video playback in midday the zosi view bar let me show only 00:00 to 12:00 and then jumps to 01:00 in night

How do you connect to the cloud server? I do not see it in my DVR Network status.
What is your dvr model number pls?some dont have the cloud server.

@@ZosiTechnology How do I use pan and tilt? Also I bought a compatible Hard Drive that I will install in it when it comes so I will be able to record. Since the cameras are Dome can they pan and tilt? Lastly, do they pick up sound since I see on the back of the DVR an option for sound recording?
@@stevent4989 Hi! Pan-tilt feature is only available for our IP camera www.zositech.com/product/1080p-hd-wireless-ip-camera-with-two-way-audio-for-pet-baby-monitor/. If you want to record sound, you need to add an extra mic to the camera.
I'm only using 2 cameras. The screen shows 4 boxes and 2 of those are my cameras. Can I get rid of the 2 blank boxes? I saw a setting for 2X2 and that is what I have checked.
I'm so sorry Mark, it can not make the two blank boxes hide.You can switch the mode to single screen,so the two images will turn out alternately.Or it only can be in four screens.

Please help. I set up my system and everything worked great until installing the RT3070. when I hard wired my DVR is connected without any issues. When I connect the wireless adapter, I can't get the system to connect. When I go to the Network tab, and click test it says, "Cannot Connect The Network". WiFi setup tab says connected, Network tab under information says connected. What is the problem???

We have a new system and the USB ports will not read ANY mouse ... how can I fix this so we can continue setting up our system? We’ve tried numerous usb mice that all work on a computer , but then not when attached to the zosi system

Yes. We tried all 3, with numerous mice that worked on other computers etc. all 3 ports are blown and we literally just opened the box . I’ve emailed customer service and they simply replied that my email was reported , but offered no solution or fix

Just installed the DVR ZOSI H.264 HD1080P DVR Model: ZR04 PN/10 a few days ago. Very disappointed. Does not go even one day without the "Connection Failed" error on my Android app (ZOSI View) and on the PC client. Which makes this system useless for monitoring my property from my mobile. Is there a fix for this for this? Also noticed that this DVR is relatively noisy with an audible hum. It has the built-in HD but still too noisy. Need to fix this or return it soon.

How do I get this to show only four cameras all the time? I have been able to figure out to show 1 or 4 for maybe 30 35 seconds and then it reverts back to the entire grid of tiles.

You can delete video by Main Menu-----Search-----File Management, select the day you want check ,and click "search" in top right of the interface,you can delete the dispiying video than.
And yes,if you set it manual record,the hard drive will record continuously.

Peter Nguyen I'm planning on throwing the DVR out... It restarts constantly. Until I have the money for a higher quality product (one that actually works and doesnt restart all the time....) I will hope the visual cue of cameras is enough to thwart any would be burglars

HERES THE PROBLEMS IM HAVING
1. The DVR is recording as soon as it's turned on and I haven't even pushed "start recording"
2. There's a yellow box, red speaker, red human in the corner of the camera screen at all times
3. I try to set up motion detection with the selected area and I save the settings and when I test sensitivity the human stays RED
When I try to see if the camera captured my motion it doesn't. Instead it captured 3-4 minutes BEFORE when I didn't even push "start recording"
I don't even have to push start recording for it to record...there's VERY little information on this DVR and it's doing the exact opposite of what I'm trying to get it to do....please help or explain ASAP
Hi Kelvin,there are so many kinds of records,such as manual record,schedule record,motion detection record and so on.
Does the "start record" you mentioned above is in the main list when you right click mouse?If yes,please note when you Push"start record",it means the manual record is enabled.So even you didn't click "start recording",some other record also might be enabled.
When yellow box display on your screen,it means you set motion detection recording,also red human means alarm recording,both them are normal phenomenon.
And last ,please go to main menu---set up---alarm---motion---area setting to adjust the sensitivity.Please the lower value,the higher sensitivity it is.

how I sequence the cameras on my display monitor?
Hi friend,th cameras have been sequenced by their channel number.You can change their name if you want them seems ordered. Right click mouse,Main Menu>Setup>Live,click "camera name",you can change your camera name there.
I meant rotate the cameras One at the time full screen in cruising sequence

A solution to put caméra on Android TV without câble ?
The is no app for Android TV.
Please use the HDMI/VGA cable to connect the recorder to the monitor. If your device ID is 20 characters, please download the zosi smart APP on your mobile phone: supports.zositech.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016664951-How-to-connect-your-DVR-NVR-through-Zosi-Smart-APP

If you have already used a VGA cable to connect the DVR to the TV, you can use an HDMI cable to connect the DVR to another TV.
You may need to open ports 80, 5000, and 5001 on your router, if they’re currently being blocked by te firewall. This typically only happens on commercial internet accounts, as they deal with sensitive transactions, but occasionally a firewall on a residential line will also block these ports.
If you can't login the DVR/NVR system on monitor/tv, please send the device's ID and model number to us. (You can be able to find the label stickers on the top and at the bottom of your device) And make the characters on the sticker as clear as possible, we will create a super password for you.

Hi Jennifer,
Without an internet connection the cameras would still record to the hard drive on the DVR. You would still be able to access any recordings from the DVR itself. The only feature you wouldn't be able to access is the Zosi View Mobile app.

Hi, since 2 days ago I have been unable to remote stream via the secu365 and ZOSI VIEW mobile apps. It keeps saying 'Device Offline' or 'Connecting Failed'. I can only stream the cameras from my Android when connected to the same wifi connection at home. This is very worrying. Please urgently assist. Thank you.

I have my DVR Zosi connected with 4 cameras, only 2 cameras are in color and the other 2 in black and white, and those that look in black and white of those 2 there is one that at night when ex: a vehicle comes with the Lights on turns to color but when you finish passing the vehicle goes back to black and white. and the other that looks black and white is only seen in color in the day, at night or with light

Hi, if you don't want to buy the surveillance dvr kits. You could also buy the ip cameras. The most of them are wireless, easy setup and work with wifi.

Every time I add the cameras to view live it says "connecting failed". I have registered, scanned the code, and selected the cameras for live view. I have yet to be able to view them.

I just purchased these cameras and I followed everything on the instructions and when I first turn on the power from the dvr and the cameras I fix the date and I press finished and it went straight to the cameras and now that I am trying to connect to my smartphone so I could see it through my phone it KEEPS TELLING ME TO SIGN IN WHEN I HAVENT MADE A PASSWORD AND NOW IM STUCK THEIR I NEED HELPPP PLEASE

I bought the zosi last week but can't set it uptil I get my sky broadband on the 11th march.. the problem I have is I know a million percent my password is right but the system said it's wrong after my electricity cut out in the house and the system restarted. And please right click mouse>main menu>information>network, you can find the IP address there.

ZOSI CCTV Yes I’ve tried the super password method, I’ve downloaded SPD app but couldn’t get the DVR to go to the initial screen so that I could scan it with the app. I’m away from home for another 5 hours then I can provide the serial number but I believe it would be a bad idea to post it publicly under this video(hackers).

Hi My battle with this system runs almost 4 weeks. Zosi Customer service are not bothering with reply... All installed and I can see the view (monitor connected to the system directly) but cannot view on mobile phone or pc. I Cannot pas the Wizard password page. I CANNOT access set up screen.... I try with no password, with "admin" password ant still the same... Did I buy faulty model????? or is there reset guide to bring it to factory settings?????? anyone any idea PLEASE....

Sorry, it isn't able to direct connect to laptop. You can have a live video stream on laptop by using the Zosi Smart PC client : )
