- WWL Radio pro and college football analyst Mike Detillier joins morning show host Tommy Tucker to break down the New Orleans Saints' 2024 schedule game by game. Mike expects a tough stretch early and an uphill climb the rest of the way that again falls short of the postseason.

15 - 2. One loss to Peyton at home. Another loss at home loss to Carr's old team the Raiders. They win out in the playoffs and win the SuperBowl against the Houston Texans 38 - 35. WhoDat!!!
saints beat dallas not true
@alfredo-ky7no Dallas is going to be playoff good this year but the Saints will be SuperBowl great this year.
I bleed Black&Gold....but just letting you know, it's going to be another disappointing season bro. Just be prepared
Saints defense is going to be better because of a better ball control offense. The defense was good last year but would get worn out by the end. The offense for Carr will play to his strengths which the stats prove he is one of the best play action and motion quarterbacks. Cowboys don’t have the weapons they used to have and the Eagles are regressing because they lost both coordinators last year and it showed by the end of the year. Falcons have a quarterback controversy on their hands and the Bucs roster got worse plus they lost their OC and that will show on the field. Saints will win 10+ games if Dennis Allen will just focus on the defense and let Kubiak run the offense.
Exactly 💯⚜️
WHODATT
Fool keep believing in DA
That’s a better analysis than I’ve heard from any of these podcast talking heads.
I don’t know what these silly people are afraid of. Dallas and especially Philly and Hurts took a big drop off last year. SF lost 4 straight and limped into the SB. The Falcons and Bucs were both blown out by the Saints the last two games. If it weren’t for the GB game the Saints would have entered the playoffs the hottest NFC team. With Kubiak and new OL coach and receivers coach it can only get better.
6-11 Baby
Most likely
7-10
I’m predicting about 7-8 wins but I would love to be wrong I would like us to go 10-7 I want to make the playoffs and go on a run but they’re gonna have t prove us wrong in order to do that
The Saints are not that bad 🤦🏾♂️
Cousins is not as good as you think. He is starting in a new system. Just like Carr, he will start slow. Don't be surprised if we start 4-1. Carr got a lot better as the offense opened up last season. Had they played the first 9 games like they played the last 8, we would have probably won the division. I hope Mike is wrong. Tampa is going to be tough games.
WHODATT
U on crack put money where mouth is eagles, chiefs, bucs, cowboy's 0-4
Another .500 season.....here we come!!!
We won 9 games last year with no pass rush and a horribley ran offense. We upgrade the defensive line and get an O coordinator who has a winning history, and people have us losing more games. How sway? I really beloeve the reason we picked up willie Gay and Chase Young was to help eliminate the QB scrambles. We will be 3 and 1 after the first 4 games with a loss coming on the road in Dallas.
The teams were playing are better this year. I don’t buy that 2nd easiest schedule. If you look at who were playing, I see very few wins. Dennis Allen isn’t a good coach. He will find a way to lose games.
WHODATT Saints should beat Cowgirls
Exactly if the Saints can fix they’re offensive line, they can win 12 games especially with a new oc.
Dude saints beat 1 winning team last yr
U think saints beating chiefs u on crack
Stop it they not starting 1-4 how y'all know
like fr they don’t think we can upset someone
They don’t WHODATT
No
But yet they say we have the easiest schedule smh easily one of the hardest
Hurts is an improved passer? He took a big drop off last year after starting the year before and teams had some film on him.
He was hurt casual
He has 2 wrong at minimum. 10-7
I actually think they’re gonna start 1-5… they will lose to the Bucs in week 6, too.
Saints pick up their 2nd win against Denver on TNF.
U trippin Denver comin in dome kill Saints Payton petty as hell he will run score up
Damn just imagine Dennis Allen losing to Sean Payton and Jameis Winston in the same season... 😂😂
Hopefully we overcome!
y’all have no faith in this team we will beat dallas lose to eagles and we will beat chiefs 🤣
Saints win all three WHODATT
I thought these jokers HAD FAITH! 4-1 start. Keep up!
If the Saints go 8-9, Dennis Allen is OUT.
I have us going 12-4
Losing to philly, bucs, commanders, and packers
In the words of Darth Vader "I find your lack of faith disturbing". Past performance is not indicative of future results. If the Saints won those 4 or 5 games they lost we'd be having a different conversation. I think the Saints can go 7-4 going into the bye. Dallas has weakened and the Eagles are questionable. I see losing to KC and Atlanta early
I'm a believer in "you are what your are" until proven otherwise. What has been our record over the last 3 years?
Winning record last year. So we're winners
@@Santa-504 The last three years we are a combined 25-26, that's not winning football.
I disagree with losing to the Falcons and KC, but yeah, I agree with the rest. He's thinking about our past performances too much with sk.e of these teams, like the Eagles and Packers.
Bro i was just sayin this… how u giving all those unknown teams the benefit of the doubt but not the saints the chargers have the same issues we having with having new staff and a coach fresh from collage thats uncertain the chiefs wr core is uncertain all the saints need is better chemistry and its most definitely a 13 win season … also this guy said we struggled against the raiders… the last time i checked we blew the raiders out the last time we played
This is like zero faith that the offense is better.
I got them at 8-9 or 9-8 at best
We haven't done well against the raiders? Pretty sure we shut them out last time we played.
Both things are true, actually. Saints won 24-0 in 2022, but had lost the prior two meetings (and they got kinda taken apart in the 2020 matchup).
Guess who was qb carr lol
@@cheetahturner4576 for all three games
@@WWLsports. Yea but in the 3rd game McDummy was his coach.
Dennis and Derek? No postseason for us 😭
It’s been a long time since they had to work really hard to sell season tickets but i think that time has come again smh a lot of us lost our seats to endzone suites a few years ago smh I wish them luck because the people they’ve been targeting won’t support a losing team like a lot of us did for so many years smh saints better find a quarterback that can play and find him quick or it’s gonna be awful quiet in the dome smh hopefully Carr steps up in year two
D A will be gone after the Saints fall to 2-5 after the Denver game. Team wins maybe 6 games
your Failcons better get ready to be slapped around again
10-7 would be great. 9-8 more realistic. 6-11 if the bottom falls out.
4 - 13 is really realistic
6-11, or 8-9 at best 😊
Carolina and Atlanta 2 wins, stop crying
Dude falcons are better damn saints fans are delusional
Long as Carr at QB 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
We sweep NFC SOUTH.
Mike is the absolute best.
GOAT status.
As far as covering Louisiana sports.
if by best you mean worst
@@trentrez6643. Yea. I’m not impressed by Mike. Half the time he just repeats the common popular narrative.
@@pbm8264 same as most Saints talking heads on TH-cam as well. Theres no depth to their “analysis” at all
@@trentrez6643 Right. Mike mentions that the Saints traditionally struggle against mobile QB’s and will lose to team X because they have a mobile QB, but fails to mention that they acquired Chase Young and Gay who specializes in shadowing opposing QB’s. And that is just one example.
How can you excoriate the Saints for losing to the Bucs bad early, but fail to mention that Carr was fresh off his shoulder injury and that at the end of the season the Saints blew out both the Bucs and the Falcons, two teams fighting for playoff spots?
And there are still podcasters and silly Saints fans complaining about the red zone, but fail to mention that they finished the season as the hottest red zone team, like 15 of 18.
And how can you analyze the upcoming season without considering how they ended up last year offensively with Carr being the #1 ranked QB for the last 6 games? And how about mention the offense was ranked 9th last year despite not have an NFL caliber OC and that they should do much better this year under Kubiak as well as with new OL coach and receivers coach?
I and many of these commenters (except for the groupthink crybabies) can give a better analysis of the Saints. And what’s up with the podcast with Bobby’s son and the other guy? I feel like I lose IQ points every time I listen to them.
Who the hell is this guy and what is he smoking?
He's THE MAN! Has been for YEARS
who are yo YOU, booster??
@@AlmostReady504 yea to you
@@LouisWinthorpe3 I'm saying 🤣
This commentary gives me no hope for a successful season because Mike's telling the absolute truth.
Mike is not all that. He just repeats the popular common narrative most of the time. The regular sober fan can give a better analysis than him.
💀😮💨👀
We win 8 games max this year. My bet is 7. Dennis Allen will be fired at the end of the year. The new coach will come in and there will be a legitimate Qb competition between Rattler and Carr for QB1. Carr will be let go at the end of next season.
You puffin down tight
"Second easiest strength of schedule" my ass.
Mostly playoff teams and the Super Bowl champs
Looking at 6 or 7 wins TOTAL
You heard it here first !
You win and lose in the trenches, and our offensive line sucks ass, so we won't be able to run the ball effectively, nor will they be able to protect Carr. Additionally, Olave is a #2, Shaheed is a #3, and we don't have anyone who has the ability to consistently move the chains and put the fear of God in the opposing defenses. It saddens me to say this but we'll be lucky to go 8-9.
Nah our receivers a good bro. At perry, Olave and Shaheed are a lethal combo. Shaheed could smoke most CB1s. Calling him a WR3 is crazy. He’s AT LEAST a WR2 with potential to be WR1. And who knows how good bub means will be. Thomas didn’t play last year and our receivers were good. They got open, but Carr didn’t get it to them.
I agree with the record though and about the OL
