Hans Zimmer is an absolute genius. This is one of my favourite soundtracks from the movie. It encapsulates their love and fate. That they could just meet on that One Day. It makes me weep.

This sounds like a song from a touching , sad and very gory, violent WW2 movie especially when it starts. I just associate this song with ww2 for some reason. This song is perfect for war based movies.
the riff is the main idea for the soundtrack to At World's End and is unofficially known as the Will and Elizabeth love song. I remember the part vividly twice for Dead Men Tell No Tales in the beginning when we first see Will and when he reunites with Elizabeth. I believe Geoff Zanelli helped write the score too so there are definitely similarities for the musical score :)
