    Is it necessary to deflate the air shock if you are just replacing the rear shock?

    Can I change the Shocks by themselves without removing everything else, or do i need to remove everything exactly like the video? Thanks for the helpful content! 👍

    Hey peeps wanted to chime in. There is a video showing info on removing the rear suspension. This is a great kit. I didn't do the work but the mechanic did it in 3 hrs total. The ride is a little lower than stock I think but perfect height. The ride from what I can tell is stock or just maybe a little better. I did install this on my V-Sports but this is going on my other XTS a little later which is a luxury trim. I would say pay the money and get this. It way better than what the factory stuff would cost replacing stuff.

    Brian what is the approximate cost for this entire job? Parts & labor?

    ive got a 2011 escalade esv 120k front shocks are shot again, im looking into getting passive shocks because these magnetic ride control shocks are garbage and $700.00 each

    I have an XTS and I wanna replace the rear air bag springs. Is there any bolts that have to be removed or just squeeze it out and in place?

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reef Sta If I remember right there’s see clips on the top and bottom that you removed and of course the airline going to it.

    So on the left side there is even less space between the tank and the bracket of the upper arm, there is no way the bolt comes out to be able to replace the arm. How did you do it?

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cristi N You’ll probably have to unbolt the tank and drop it down just a little bit to get clearance on the bolt

    • @cristinastor
      @cristinastor 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How to Automotive how about I cut the bolt like half inch with a grinder, it's pretty long anyways. Did you drop the tank?

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cristi N If I remember right I just loosen the straps which drop the tank down half an inch or so and I talked the bolt up above the tank. If you cut the bolt you’ll have to buy a new one and see if it will fit from the opposite direction if not you’ll have to drop the tank anyways.

    • @cristinastor
      @cristinastor 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How to Automotive I was thinking if I cut the bolt shorter half inch it will clear the hole in the arm so I can slide the arm out. I still won't be able to take the bolt out but I don't care about that, all I need is the arm to come out.

      @@HowtoAutomotive That was the way to do it and it was pretty easy. Thanks again

    How do you reset the air suspension? I have one with all new parts and it won't air up

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has to be done with the scan tool. But also, there’s a possibility of the pump not working.
