i think 5 is the most useful, not just for saplings but for apples too. waiting for leaves to decay is annoying, so having Allays pick up the drops sounds so convenient.

Used allay while deforesting. Can confirm It's a huge improvement
you dont need to wait for leaves to decay. its a 2% chance for a sapling no matter how it breaks. just use a enchanted hoe
I did that just today and found out how useful allays can be.
I use my allays to help me go hunting. I can just focus on chasing rabbits while the allays pick up all the drops. :D

I only got one allay, I use it in the chicken coop to bring me eggs because I forget to grab them my self
That's a neat use for the allay! You can also make more allays by giving an amethyst shard to your allay while playing a music disc in a jukebox nearby! :)
you could make them hold blaze rods then shoot the blazes so you don’t have to go in there and die
What’s your hopper contraption entirely made out of? Pretty simplistic yet very affective, I’d love to try it.
It is just eight hoppers pointing into one chest. There is also a sticky piston which creates an observer loop when activated. :)

Yes, since if the note block isn't always being activated, the allays will lose interest in the note block after 30 seconds of the last note being played.
Can anyone suggest a way to get the allay at to stay with you. I have rescued three of them now and I haven't seen them for days They just wander around on their own do their own thing I even found one in the nether So how do you keep them next to you in order to use this system?
The allays should just follow you around once you have given them an item. You can also use a lead on them if you want to!

No, allays do not despawn, whether they are holding an item or not. Yes, allays can go trough both nether and end portals. Yes, you can use commands to teleport the allay to you, but that is unnecessary since an allay that is holding an item will already teleport to you when it gets too far like a dog or cat does. Hope this info is helpful to you. :)
Are you shure? I have some allays behind closed doors. They do not teleport. But I have to try outside. I'm just afraid they will loose me, when I'm too fast...
Can I change what the alley is holding? I kinda only want to keep 2 alley, I dont like lots of buggers around me floating around and sometimes interfering with my view
Yes! You just need to remove the item that the allay is currently holding and replace it with a new item.

@@Cr1ato yea, but they're all essentially the same scenario
That is because allays only have one behavior which is to pick up items. The video is showing 10 ways this behavior can be used. The scenarios may seem similar because they all use the same mob, being the allay, with its one function of picking up items.
