Ming is your heart set on the lower Manhattan neighborhoods you've mentioned? If you're considering other options, have you considered looking at apartments in Astoria? There's beautiful neighborhoods there that have great apartments that check everything on your pros list. Also there's nice buildings in areas of Astoria that have similar beautiful architecture of some of the smaller buildings in the East and West Villages along with having green spaces, roof top access or balconies. Plus there's easy access to public transportation and a short commute into Manhattan... and of course Astoria has all kinds of good vibes and really good people. When I lived in NYC, Astoria was my home for along time. I loved it there! Best wishes on finding your new apartment in the place you love that you are overjoyed for! Its out there just waiting for you to find and come home to it. Blessings to you and Ben! 🥰
I think you should put a microwave on your Christmas 🎄 gift wish list ! Good luck with your new apartment & avoid ground floor units. You'll know the right place pretty quickly.
Haha I have a microwave, but was under the impression that the apts would come with one 😅 Learned something during the apartment hunt! Best floor to live on is 2nd floor (if no elevator), in my experience 😀
Small tip: Always go for large buildings which usually have their own leasing office, easy way to save yourself $3k in fees and usually get a one month free type deal Realtors are the absolute worse, they will all show the same 20 bad deals
