"In Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, players build their own crew from a wide range of factions, allies, and iconic characters from the Fallout series, then play in apocalyptic games of 3-30 high-quality 32mm scale resin miniatures through a huge variety of iconic scenery and settlement buildings, from the Red Rocket to Sanctuary Hills, Nuka-Cola vending machines and wrecked vehicles. Settlements include buildings, defenses, and resources that impact the crew's army list and abilities in the wasteland.
Fallout: Wasteland Warfare includes an entire narrative campaign arc as well as unique random missions with narrative-style objectives, and crew caps recovered in missions can be used to improve the crew's perks, weapons, gear, and upgrades for the next encounter. In either player vs. player or tournament mode, players try to survive the tabletop wasteland.
The game uses a customizable solo-play AI deck to control enemies that play to their strengths and replicate a faction’s tactics while attempting a narrative mission or straight caps based battle. Play through a solo campaign or set up AI forces as a third party in your player vs player or co-op games.
Campaign expansions will unlock deeper crew building and AI experiences, new campaigns and let you perfect your settlement-building strategy. This will allow players to attack each other's bases to win rewards. Team up with a friend to defend a larger settlement or explore narrative missions in cooperative games against AI forces or the post-apocalyptic dangers of the wasteland.

This game looks like and absolute blast. I'm a huge fallout fan and man did they knock this one out of the ball park. I can see why you're so excited.

5:00 - you can get cheap plexiglass sheets at most DYI stores to lay on top of maps and flatten/protect them

Nice unboxing, something to be noted. The Deathclaw is only in the PVC starter set. Its not included in the resin starter set, you need to buy it separately on its own, or part of the creatures set or the starter collectors resin set.
That’s correct hepta! Probably should have mentioned that this is the retail version so the alien is the preorder. Interesting that the Deathclaw isn’t in the resin version. I’ll have to look into that. Cheers!!
The Alien Zetan is included in retail preorders and the Nuka Cola Girl in modiphius online preorders. When they release wave 2 preorders they intend to swap them, Alien Zetan via modiphius and Nuka Cola Girl via retail.

They have a ton of lore with Fallout to work with. Along with a ton of familiar locations. From what I’ve seen and heard from them directly the support and additional content for the game is going to continue. So that’s great to hear!
I'm still waiting to get my hands on my copy. Hope you do some gameplay videos for this game soon. As for the plastic models. The bonus for ordering at stores was a plastic alien figure.
I’m also waiting for Wave 1 to arrive. Then I’ll be looking into covering it in a Showcase asap! Probably should have mentioned that this is the retail version so the alien is the preorder. Cheers!

Between the high price and how small all the booster kits are, the barrier for entry is really high. They do this sort of thing with card or board games and nobody raises an eyebrow. They just assume there is no market for the product. Do it on videogames like Star Wars Battlefront and it actually effects sales and complaints are heard because they know there is a market.
Hey Jacob! I can tell you that this one being full of resin minis adds to the price beyond what a normal game would be. This plastic set is the only plastic set and it’s a good bang for buck value. For me this is the only solo tabletop miniatures game I have in my collection. Cheers!

I've seen a couple of other reviews where it looked, frankly, like Modiphius would have been better not assembling the figures before delivery (big gaps at the joints and honking great mould lines that are difficult to get to because the assembled figure just doesn't allow access). Your box looks better but as you flipped through the figures part of the set so quickly it was a bit difficult to see - even when i paused it. I'm aware there are always mould lines but how do they look?
Hey Malcolm, so these are the plastic versions of the figures. The resin ones will be the norm for this line of products. I do have close up shots of the figures on Instagram and will be posting much more about the game when the rest arrives. So far I'm very happy with them so far. Looking forward to the resin ones coming my way soon!
When is the solo playthrough coming. I still can’t find anything on TH-cam... super interested in solo tabletops
It’s in the works Cedar! Currently building terrain for it. There’s a lot that goes into miniature games. Assembly and such. Don’t worry I got you covered ;)

No worries about your graphics card being able to handle it though.
It is so risky investing in video game IPs, especially being a collectible skirmish wargame....they tend to lose support almost over night.....
but this looks so fun for my son (video gaming nerd) and I (boardgame nerd).
I agree. Big time IPs can be riskier. The good news is they’ve already lined up many waves of content. So they plan on fully supporting this one beyond the preorder content available right now. 👍🏼
Rolling Solo That's good to hear. I watched your GenCon demo and really like the gameplay....on my short list of future purchases. Too bad the scenery isn't in the box...that house was epic.
I know! That house was incredible. They're apparently working on some stuff. They also have Battle Systems making them specific Fallout locations like the Red Rocket. I will be getting that one soon and will be able to show you guys. :)
I also have a bunch of their post apocalyptic line of terrain, perfect for Fallout!

Is resin better than plastic? Also what paint set and miniature storage boxes do you recommend???

Does the AI allow you to play through the main campaign? Or only the AI scenarios?
I believe you can make any of it work. I’d have to dive deeper and plan to within a month or so. The Showcase will give you more information on it for sure :)
