Jeff - you are going to love Oathsworn. I've soloed the first 5 encounters (more to learn than anything) and getting ready to start over with a group. Just an incredible narrative experience and the minis are absolutely great. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about it!
I have been really loving endless winter, its such a good game with all the content!! Also I recently got too many bones and its super fun, even if for the cute art and chucking dice lol
I can’t believe you stole Turing machine from me at the brgc. Went in tonight to get it and it was gone. 😂 I really think you’ll both love TMB, such a great game.
Took a hiatus from board games, but now am back into them....and a lot of the games you have I'm dying to try out like flamecraft, challengers,etc. Can't wait to see some playthroughs from 2 of my fav board peeps (hint hint) :)
@@FostertheMeeple you will find some time I’m sure. The skill tree is quite enjoyable, and makes it easier to build around your play style. Also give you a direction on how you need to play your character
Both Tikal and Thurn and Taxis are good designs and fun games. If you have the first edition of Tikal with only cardboard tiles instead of the plastic temple levels, do not despair as they are easily made with air drying clay (Jeff will be able to put his painting/craft skills to use as another small project of his, I’m sure)
Maybe TMB will be the surprise game Jamie likes. Steph doesn’t like it as much as me but she likes it when she plays. It’s got a good level of crunch and lots of dice rolling so always good to play with a good roller haha
@@FostertheMeeple for sure. Everything is dice rolls so all that dice Lu-skill comes in handy. And tactically if you like games like summoner wars and neroshima hex I feel like you get that similar feeling of positioning, predicting and timing
TIKAL LOL (TA-CAL, like Method Man's 1st album) Part of the mask trilogy Java ( now called Cuzco) and Mexica. You should really get the Super Meeple copies way better copy...Like not even close.
I've been on the fence with the pinball games. My fiancée really loves "& write" games, and I love real-life pinaball. Which pinball game is your favorite, and do you think I should pick one up for us (money is not the objection here but the replayability and overall fun involved)?
We really enjoy it. We started at “ramp it up” as it has a bunch of different themes you can play. All that being said, there’s no guarantee you like it! All I can confirm is that we’ve enjoyed our plays of it
My FLGS initially only had the base Endless Winter game and all expansions but Rivers and Rafts. Didn't really care for Rivers expansion anyway. A couple weeks later, intent on picking up Season 3 of Cthulhu DMD, I saw the Rivers expansion and picked it up along with Season 2 of Cthulhu DMD (Someone beat me to purchasing Season 3). Thursday & Taxis was one of my early purchases and I played it a ton. If you like route building games, you will really like this game. There were a couple expansions for it but I felt they diminished the gameplay for me. Was interested in Oathsworn but decided to hold off from getting it because I own another miniatures campaign game called Bloodborne. I have not been able to play it much so investing in another campaign game did not make sense (although when Elden Ring boardgame comes out, I may give in...).
by getting a bunch of your games before going to PAX it just mean you will by buying other games and taking those home, so you will still be paying for the extra shipping.
