I bought a ‘23 low rider ST about 2 months ago as a beginner rider (1st bike) and I’m doing just fine. Like you said, just know your limitations and learn/grow with the bike
Got a 24 lowrider st for my first harley. For an all around performance this bike is phenomenal. Came from sports bikes and naked bikes I am really happy with it.
I have a ST on order. Not super excited about like normal. Just decided my 21RGS is feeling to heavy to often. Nice to see the vids with riders expressing how much they enjoy riding this LR ST and how smooth it is. My first upgrade is get rid of all the bronze. Seems crazy to repaint a brand new gas tank. Really appreciate your ch. Thank you.
Hey Richard, and congratulations on your new ST! The great thing about owning a new motorcycle is you’re able to mod it out and make it your own. Thank you very much for watching and Rod safe!
Awesome, 1st bike, and handles great. It's easy to ride. I spent a week in the parking lot and then ventured to the road. The only thing that almost got me was the cruise control and getting a little too comfortable on dirt roads. My opinion buy it and have fun. Romp around in a parking lot and get used to the torque and doing slow manuvers
I think anyone can adjust to whatever motorcycle they happen to purchase at any given time but that’s just my opinion. I never thought I would be coming on a bagger and imo they’re the easiest bikes to ride. I’d definitely love to have one ☝️ Good video Ty
Thanks you sir. You make a good point. I have been able to adapt to just about all the motorcycles that I've owned and have learned to ride. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
I was just at Harley yesterday looking at the 2024 low rider ST for my first bike. Like you said I want a bike that I will be able to have for awhile without trading up. Love the look, and the feel of the ST over just the S
It's such a fantastic motorcycle and I think you would enjoy it for sure. It's fast and lightweight and so much fun to ride. I hope everything works out and thank you so much for watching!
I started off on a v4 sports bike. 750cc. I was 16 and NOT responsible. I lived to tell the tales, but I had a lot of close calls that could have been bad, but not because of size or power but young dumb decisions. I think it all comes down to the rider and their wrist control/temptation control. None of the Harley’s are real powerful/fast so I’d say other than they are too expensive for a beginner if and when they drop it.
Right on man. Thank goodness that you and I both lived past many of the dumb decisions of my youth! Yup, much of it is self-control and self-discipline. Take care Salty and thank you very much for watching!
Good video as always! I think another consideration for the Low Rider ST as a first bike is that it doesn't have traction control or any other advanced assists that can keep a new rider from getting in over their head while they're still learning to smoothly manipulate the controls.
That's very true and something that I wish I would have thought about and brought up in the video. Thanks for watching today! I appreciate your time very much!
The Low rider is just as fast as a BMW r nine t if you look at the 0-60 and 1/4mile time. But with more torque available early. A beginner can easily handle a R nine t so I would imagine the low rider shouldn’t be a problem.
Ty, thanks again for another your honest opinion of this gorgeous bike. I'm pretty sure that if/when i get one that it will do all things I need it too and then some. Keep the dirty side down....
Thanks Tom. I appreciate that very much. No lie, my friend, this is the best H-D I have ever owned. Trying to sell my CVO just so that I can keep this one as my single bike. Thank you for watching!
I got my license and started on a dyna. Wife was mad I bought a bike and made me sell it. I convinced her to let me finally buy a bike and got a street glide. I only rode the dyna 4 tines around the neighborhood before I sold it. I feel like I might have went to big going right in to a touring bike. Thinking of going back to a soft tail like the low rider or possibly the st
First new bike I remember. Honda 70 mini trail. With 4 speed with clutch. Killed that machine. Run it hard. Wrecked it good. Of course way back when!!!
Ah, good memories, Ray. I've got an open field behind my house and I've been thinking about buying a little dirt bike just to go back there and cause some havoc. Thanks for watching! Have a great day...
Personally, I love the Low Raider ST . I think that it is very versatile bike but I would appreciate if you can compare it against your street glide in dense traffic situations as well as in a longer rides 🤔
I've done one comparison video, but you bring up a good point. I will start exploring that option. Thanks Ahmed!! I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions sir.
The ST would be a better first bike because of its reduced weight compared to full bagger, but the odd sized bags would trigger my OCD for sure ....................................JB.
hahahaha. I don't even notice the bags anymore. It is really light and you can throw the bike around pretty easily. Thanks man. I hope you are doing well these days!
Love the price down there in US if you multiply that price by the exchange rate now at 1.35 yup almost 27k Hubby likes to drag his knees so a stage 4 and a 131 ought to work for him! Haha That bag you have there by the tank who is it made by??
Hi Jeff. The right side bag sits a bit higher than the left due to the stock exhaust, but it’s not a big deal to me. The bike still looks awesome. Thank you very much for watching!
The Low Rider is a great looking bike. But, I'm not sure about it as a beginner bike. Seems like a beginner would want to start with an inexpensive small motorcycle to start out. Low investment to determine if they like riding. If they like riding, then upgrade to the next level bike as skill increases.
no harley or sportsbike are good beginner bikes. yes u can learn on them but i met sportsbike riders and Harley rider that never rode anything else and they sucked.. a super moto, roller or naked bike are the best for learning neutral, leaning, and pushing in to corners and learning low speed maneuvres. at least in europe u have to master that

I second that..

I want a low rider ST, but inflation is kicking my butt. Thanks for giving me a ‘Bird’s eye view’ of the ST Ty!
Bill - This bike is really nice. I'm completely surprised by how much I love the motorcycle. Thanks for supporting the channel. Have a great day!
I bought a low rider ST as my first bike. I just cruise slow and do lots of parking lot practice. Its insanely fast.
Congratulations on your first motorcycle! I love my LRST. It is a fantastic bike. Thank you very much for watching! I appreciate your time today!

I love my LRST. I might get a RGS later on down the road. I’m perfectly happy with this machine right now though, it does everything I need it to do.
That’s right Adam!! The LRST is such a fantastic motorcycle! Thank you for watching!!

Seriously thinking about this being my first bike out here in Montana
That's fantastic! The LRST is a great place to start. It has been my favorite H-D to date. Thank you so much for watching!

You can't go wrong with the LRST. It's fast, fun, and plenty of power. Thank you for watching!

I got a gsxr600 right now, eventually I definitely want a low rider st badass bike
The LRST is such an awesome motorcycle. If you demo one, you just might buy it. Thank you for watching!!

Beautiful scenery by the way
Thank you Frank! The colors this time of year are just awesome. I appreciate your time today!
Good video 🇺🇸👍
Thanks Jim! I appreciate your time today sir...
Was the guy in the blue motorcycle with you or some random guy? Great video.
That's my buddy Eric. We ride everywhere together. Have a great day Carlos!

hahaha. I've only seen one woman that I couldn't handle....so I married her! Thanks for watching sir. Have a great day!
Not so much looking for the St but a Softail because all my friends saying because a Softail would work best
It such a great motorcycle. If you get to test ride one let me know what you think! Thank you very much for watching! I appreciate your time today!

Sounds like you have a great plan in place. That handlebar bag is from Thrashing Supply. Here is the link. I hope it is helpful. --> bityl.co/F6Yt
@@TyFromTennessee Awesome thank you!!!!
Are both bags the same size? Enjoy your channel!

All good points sir. I can't count how many times I dropped my very first bike. Thanks for supporting the channel. I appreciate your time today!
I can't say it's a good starter bike. Most folks drop their bike learning and I would hate to see the LR ST taking a beating.
No doubt about that. I would freak out if I ding'ed up this bike. Thanks Eric. I appreciate your time today sir!
😎👍👍
Thanks Darren! Have a great day sir.

Is the LOWRIDER ST a good starter bike, ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Hey Charley! I appreciate your feedback. Thank you very much for watching!
Why is it not? What issues did you have that were not in the video?
