    The more we read,the more we know;
    The more we know,the more we learn;
    The more we learn, the more we can earn,
    share/create/produce so on and so forth...

    Many nice comments about motivating our children to read books... what about us adults. I am a passionate reader of John Maxwell books and at age 53 I continue to learn every day from these and other books. Never too old to start reading!

    "I put my money where my values are." How many people fully understand the impact this decision is? This is fantastic. My 11 year old nephew was assigned 2 of your books to read over last summer's vacation.

    So true!!! Unfortunately there are some parents/people who don't understand the importance of reading books, but not any kind of books.... Books about personal development, philosophy, biographies of great people, psicology, behaviour etc... =) One clear example is my mother, Hope one day she'll get it =)

    what i like about john is that he has written books to help me grow as a person, more precisely, as a young adult learning more about life and the people around me.

    Reading good books help us become better in many ways. We need to develop the habit of reading.

    Thanks! Awesome video! My wife and me don't have children yet but we're preparing for their success. However, I have a host of nieces and nephews who could use this concept on.

    The biggest mistake I made in my life was undervaluing the importance of reading at a young age. When I was 10, you couldn't pay me to pick a book and read, because all I ever thought was that I would gain nothing from reading whatsoever, and boy was I wrong…point is, it doesn't have to be genre specific, you could read anything from fan fiction to historical fiction, what is important is that reading can take you to places where you could build a solid, fundamental foundation in which you could create paths to success in any field. I'm 21 now, I'm reading a book called Invisible Man, written by Ralph Ellsion, who is considered to be one of the most influential writers in not just black literature, but literature in general. When I finish reading that book, I will keep it somewhere within my shelf and when I have my first kid, I'm gonna relay it to him so that she can read it, and see just how important literature is.

      I think there's good books and bad books. Simply reading books won't do anything if you read false information. Reading a fiction book will do very little. It will help with vocabulary but you won't get anything out of it.

    The best decision I ever made was to read books. Wish I would have started when I was younger. But I hated reading so much back then. You would have had to offer me like 200 dollars.
