I once stitched the 12 days of Christmas for a close family friend. I made one a year for 12 years and finished the ornaments, hope she still uses them.I used to stitch lots of ornaments and gave away SO many. I store my threads in bobbins and craft boxes as I have so many threads…4 full boxes. Love to see your enthusiasm, I don’t do much anymore, at 67 but ❤to live vicariously through you. Thankyou
One February went vacationed in Hawaii and the temps were in the 70’s. The people who lived there hated it because it was “so cold”. We had to laugh once we got to our room.

I think you should put your last name on your sampler. If you made it as a celebration of your marriage, it would be fitting. If you wanted a phrase, we have one that my grandparents in law shared at their 60th wedding anniversary which is special to us. It is "Choose thy love, Love thy choice". ❤️
I have my floss organized; but appreciate the idea of documenting what project those out of the organizers are being used for. I recently needed a color and had to search all of my projects because I didn't know where it was. Now I don't remember where I got it to put it back when done with it ha,ha. Now I need to look for those 5x7 pages also....another great idea!! Where did you buy those? I think you should put your names in that sampler. First names with & sign between them or just your last name in larger letters.
How about family members’ initials in the 1997 sampler? You could choose a script that matches the timeframe of your design. Maybe even add the birth years of your children after their initials.
You mentioned you needed to reinforce your Book of Days spine but didn't want to cover part of the pattern on the back. Have you considered using clear packing tape? Happy stitching.
I have a question - do you wax your floss before you use it? I never have, but I recently read an article about waxing floss and wondered if you do that. If I were stitching a wedding piece like yours, I’d be tempted to stitch your name (maiden name) and Chris’s name in the space.

That is how I start most projects but lots of people start in a corner. I started my Flea Market Flowers in a corner. Sometimes it works better to do so.
