I had to stop watching to tell you to please video your progress on your adorable cabin/cottage that your father built. I love it and love to watch renovation shows. I have been watching This Old House since it first appeared on PBS. Back in those years when our only DIY shows were only on PBS. I read the newspaper article and found it very interesting. Your decorating and stitching are so inspirational to me and if I were a person that liked to drive I would be attending all your retreats! Now back to watching your video! Shirley

Thanks Phyllis. It's actually smaller than my apartment, by about 150 sq ft, but it does have the addition, which is a storage shed and laundry room, so that will be a big help for storage.
I can understand that. I have a few patterns with squirrels, and that is the theme of my retreat. Acorns and squirrels, so my small exchange has a squirrel.
Please share your "housing" 😊 updates with us! I used All In One Paint on my kitchen cabinets because I really disliked having white cabinets. It's held up great! I also used the paint on our front porch swing and rockers. I'm so glad you're moving into what your dad built. I've been thinking about you , figuring you were busy with your mom. It's nice to see you've still been stitching. The strawberry turned out great. I haven't made one, so no help from me in how to display it. Take good care!
So happy for you. Yes would love to follow your journey of the update to the cabin/cottage. Your dad sounds like my dad was. He salvaged for so many things as I was growing up. One of his last projects was an A- frame house with a loft for a retirement home for my parents. All the kitchen and bath cabinets were mismatched doors which my mom painted white and stenciled a pattern on each one. The pass through from kitchen to dining was made from tellers window from our towns depot which he and my brothers tore down and salvaged all the lumber. He used the framing lumber to build a chicken house in the 60's and after I was married he tore that down and the salvaged lumber was used again in a farm implement shed in the late 80's on our property. That shed is still in use. My parents are gone many years now, but enjoyed remembering as I watched your video. Best of luck in months ahead. Your videos are so enjoyable!!!

I can just see you sitting on that beautiful front porch, stitching, or doing punch needle, so exciting ! Your finishes look great. As always. So great that your mom could go home, that’s always best for anyone to be in their own home instead of a rehab center.
