It actually needs a bold for the z axis not just sticky tape otherwise it could go up and down during shipping and damage the machine. Good review keep up the good work.
I have this and more expensive XC-002. Believe me I can tell the difference this machine feels ok for occasional use but the XC-002 is more solid, if only with laser cutting option.
First thing that failed is the leveling feature. I have had this for about a year and a half, and I like it but was disappointed when the leveling feature failed. It is a pain to calibrate even with the leveling feature. You do need the wide cutter and narrow cutter I have found. I thought I'd be able to just leave the narrow cutter on but it didn't work well on certain high security keys. Overall I like it okay but wish I hadn't have sold my older machine.
@@rmsg7504 i have had this for 8 months. There is something about its calibration I did not understand. Regular sided keys I did okay. Honda type of keys, i did horrible just like GM or High security keys. I ended up buying the auto cutter but still looking at calibrate the manual one. Id like to be in charge and cut it myself.
@@DFWAuto_Hack I've been manually calibrating, works better than with the LED leveling feature. As you know, my LED feature stopped working. But I can copy HU100 and HU101 just fine. HO01 and HS Hyundai and kia good too.

the gray arm to "lock" the carriage from moving doesnt really work. I ended up getting some velcro and use that to tie it in place

The only leveling function it has is the guild and the cutter tighten them both and adjust accordingly, the led display makes it easy

@@DrLockShop the LED stopped working, they don't light up. I can still calibrate it but it sucks they failed six months after the warranty ended.
