Idk why but for me there's always been something strangely calming and comforting about the thought of being in a safe, enclosed space while something horrid stalks around outside. The sense of security knowing that it can't get to you and it doesn't know you're there... I'm probably really weird for thinking that.
Some cool touches: There are no curtains on the windows! There's no part of the cabin that's entirely out of view from the outside. The character is crouching behind the bed in the darkest corner of the room, with the chair slightly blocking one of the windows, which is as good a hiding place as they're ever going to get - and it's still not very good. They've hidden as best they can and they could still be seen at any moment.
"It all started after 7 PM when I finished my dinner, I started hearing those weird noises outside the cabin. I felt like something was out there for certain, but the fact I couldn't see it out the window was equally more terrifying than knowing SOMETHING was out there with eyes on me. Judging from the sounds it was making it sounded like it was circling the cabin. Just waiting for me to make the mistake of opening a window or a door, so I grabbed my M-16, checked my food stores and just waited the night out. But every minute felt like an eternity, and my foe outside was patient, calculating, waiting for the right moment to strike me when I was most vulnerable...."
Id love to see a more narrative based version of this. Like For the first hour all the sounds are slightly muffled and as time goes on the creatures sounds feet more intense and you hear footprints/hooves on your roof, scratching at the walls and tapping on the glass. It’s been trying to get in for a while and your so paralysed with fear you can’t open your eyes to see what the monster looks like. But it’s ok. It doesn’t seem to know how- The door knob jiggles. And then the sound of the rain becomes crystal clear as your squeaky wooden door is pushed open. Nothing thing happens for a good 5 mins but You refuse to move. And then the rest of the 2nd half is The sound of creaking floorboards and heavy rasping breath getting closer and closer, almost asmr and you lie still as death, confidant it now leans directly over you. Watching as you sleep.
For a while, I've searched for an audio that perfectly captured the calm, yet sinister feeling of being alone while something hunts for you outside. The mystery of what could be lurking outside, with the only hints being whatever shriek it gives off. This feels like a distant memory. Like sleeping over at a friend's house in the woods. He is unbothered by the roars outside, so you can only try to follow suit. The only thing I could ask more of, is a bit of variety in the occasional sounds of the unknown, but it's already so perfect. This makes me feel like I'm sleeping in the Appalachian Mountains. Like I'm somewhere, where something doesn't want me to be.
I know the feeling you mean. I used to get it with Resident Evil safe-houses when I played when I was younger. Feeling safe, but having to summon the courage to leave again. Scary stuff
No wonder the monster wants inside the cabin. It's been pissing down rain for hours, and you're sitting by a toasty fireside with a beer. For cryin out loud dude, have a heart and let the poor fucker in!
Day 2 during the day I set up cameras around the house, stockpiled on food water and munitions. Whatever shows up at night seems to be under strict rules. One of em being that that they can't come into the house but instead wait outside.
Day 3 Those dangerous dept collectors came around here, but since they showed up at night.... Whatever is out there is hunting them. Thanks to the cameras I was able to watch and see what happened to them.... Not what I expected at all to be honest.
This is so perfect! I adore it! This is horror done correctly! As a viewer, I know I'm completely safe as long as I stay inside the cabin, but I also know I can't stay inside forever as I'll need to resupply food and water eventually! So as the feelings of dread builds up with each passing second, I hear more and more subtle sounds in the background that creep me out! You nailed that feeling of dread! Just perfect! Great job!
“Having my rifle by my side as I sleep brings me a great measure of comfort. Not cause it’ll stop the monster but if the monster breeches the cabin I have the rifle to turn on myself. Very nice job on the video! :)
The fire flickers beside your bed, casting just enough light to make the room feel almost safe-almost. Outside, the dark forest stretches endlessly beyond the rain-soaked glass, shadows shifting between the trees. You tell yourself it’s just the wind, but the low, unnatural growl that cuts through the storm says otherwise. The cabin creaks, old wood groaning under the weight of something moving outside. The rain’s heavy drumming muffles the noise, but you can feel it-closer now, circling. You don’t dare move, eyes fixed on the window, waiting for whatever’s out there to show itself. You wonder if it’s already watching you... or if it’s already inside.

I can't remember the last time I've eaten anything but I know that thing is out waiting for to come out so it can rip me apart let me start from the beginning my name is Hugo I work as a janitor one day I had a phone call from my friend Mike he wanted to go on a hunting trip so of course I joined in its been so long since we've had some time together we had food and water to last us about a week and 2 hunting rifles and a tent that night I was sure I saw two glowing eyes staring at us I thought it was an animal so I shrug it off and went to sleep I heard a noise that woke me up it sounded like something was eating I grabbed my rifle open my tent and I fired I was terrified what I've shot it was a child but it's face ho god it's face it had face of deer and it had the smell of rutt it was so thin but the worst was the poor boy was nothing more the six years old Mike woke up and saw it too we were so scared until something attacked us it was so fast we had too run we ran until we found abandoned cabin I was in first but Mike wasn't lucky the monster grabbed his legs so I had to pole him into the cabin but it was too strong that half of his body was ripped off I was alone I haven't eaten anything but I'm so hungry Mike is looking so good.
@@UNZEEEN as a request do a tent/cabin ambiance where spirits are repeatedly trying to enter the space by any means possible from sundown to sunrise like those Black eyed kids urban legends ….having to stay up all night listening to something “let me in pleaseeeeeeee” 👹 would be unnerving!
AR-15 platform, M1-A2 model? Thirty round mag? I don’t travel that light, especially out in the woods. Mag coupler (30 rounds x 2) with four additional 30 round mags. Looks like iron sights only? Not a problem. I’m all good with that. If I’m going with just what I see, 30 rounds puts me in a lay low defensive mode only, especially until I can assess threat numbers and strength. Barely sipping on that whiskey, if at all. Staying sharp until I can get a better understanding of my surroundings. Fixed locations for too long can be dangerous.
I hate to be nick picky Unzeen, but I think you might have forgotten to add the curtains to the windows? That and ceiling appears to be a bit too low, but other wise this is a good visuals you made.
Monsters won't be doing much lurking after eating some rifle rounds. If they agree to be my guards and eat people who threaten my life then I'm cool with it. I've hunted worse at night, don't threaten me with an exciting time.

Journal Entry #4 Date: November 2nd, 1896 I just had the strangest day. I go out hunting and didn't find anything for 7 hours. Then a naked lady ran up to me screaming for help. She had been chased here by 5 men who seemingly had horrible intentions. I, of course, dealt with them swiftly. No need to worry about the law men. These woods are miles from anything. I gave the lady my coat and took her back to my cabin. I told her she could stay as long as she wants to. I gave her some warm clothes and let her sleep in the guest room tonight. I decided to stay up in case more men came lookin for her. Flithy bastards. Hours had passed. I was sitting near the living room fire while drinking some tea. The lady came to me, complaining about a noise she described as "a demon's roar" So the beast has returned... Good...

I could have sworn I've heard this sound in my forest at night... what in the world?

Unfortunately all i saw was an old lady with a clogged nose tryna breathe
Well, that's something 😅👍
It can’t get me if I hide neith the covers 😂 it’s the monster code 👹
True 😅👍
@@UNZEEEN as a request do a tent/cabin ambiance where spirits are repeatedly trying to enter the space by any means possible from sundown to sunrise like those Black eyed kids urban legends ….having to stay up all night listening to something “let me in pleaseeeeeeee” 👹 would be unnerving!
would be nice if you could pick up that Rifle there
I gotchu homie. I'll hand you one of mine.
😎👍
AR-15 platform, M1-A2 model? Thirty round mag? I don’t travel that light, especially out in the woods. Mag coupler (30 rounds x 2) with four additional 30 round mags. Looks like iron sights only? Not a problem. I’m all good with that. If I’m going with just what I see, 30 rounds puts me in a lay low defensive mode only, especially until I can assess threat numbers and strength. Barely sipping on that whiskey, if at all. Staying sharp until I can get a better understanding of my surroundings. Fixed locations for too long can be dangerous.
Yeah 😎👍
Where are the monster or what kind of monster it is
I thought I saw one camouflaged against one of the trees 👾
They are hiding, for now 🥶
I like that this person has an AR-15…boogie boogie boogie….
😎👍
I hate to be nick picky Unzeen, but I think you might have forgotten to add the curtains to the windows? That and ceiling appears to be a bit too low, but other wise this is a good visuals you made.
I always appreciate good criticism, thanks
Why do I feel comfortable
Maybe it's the rain 😊
Dismal, gloomy, stark, abandoned and ill-omened atmosphere.
😎👍
So….. just a normal rainy evening in Appalachia?
I have heard some scary things about Appalachia. I would definitely want to visit there sometime
may i use for a video game im making?
Yeah, a credit would be nice
Looks like one of the cabins from Friday the 13th.
I didn't even realize that 🤠
@@UNZEEEN you could imagine Jason lurking in the woods, watching, waiting...
@@Chris.Mc83 True 🥶
I like that there is an AR 15 on the bed
It's good to have one just in case 😎👍
Monsters won't be doing much lurking after eating some rifle rounds. If they agree to be my guards and eat people who threaten my life then I'm cool with it. I've hunted worse at night, don't threaten me with an exciting time.
😎👍
😂
Ahhh, Where am I? What is this place? The darkness is so intense, This house is in the middle of nature, There are many trees in this place and This house has a beautiful view of nature. However, This place looks like hell, This place gives me the creeps and There's something creepy out there. I don't know what to say, I'm scared. Greetings from Lima, Peru. 🏚️🏘️🏚️🏘️🧟🧟🧟♀️🧟♀️😫⚫👏👏👏👍

Journal Entry #4
Date: November 2nd, 1896
I just had the strangest day.
The lady came to me, complaining about a noise she described as "a demon's roar"
So the beast has returned...
Good...
Awesome 😎👍
Any ads?
No mid-roll
If you were looking for an excuse to buy something in 50 BMG, whatever-the-heck that is out there is all the reason you need.

"it all started when i bought this place off of a shady man, it was low cost so i bought it. i should have asked questions before i bought it."
🥶
DO 1ONE WITH MICHAEL MYERS OR JASON VOORHEES.

The image would have been better with 4 people sin the room one awake guarding and 3 asleep plus two dogs sleeping on the bed with them
