Wow! That Vampire Kit! Cheap! Gorgeous! Would love to find one. Also, similar to the screaming doll, when the Trendmasters Godzilla dolls came out, they all roared every time I went under an overpass on the way home. Thanks for prompting that memory from the 90s

"The time to buy it is when you see it." The motto of every toy collector, lol. Love the vampire kit cardback. Huge vampire fan, always have a set of plastic fangs. Fun fact: when I was a kid I wanted to be Robin the Boy Wonder... or a vampire. Still do 🧛

Love watching you two, you make me laugh! I’m soon to be 67 and it’s like walking down memory lane. One question, why is Fred your dad? My husband and I both adore Snackula. Your girl is cute as a button. It’s great how you do the voice over discussion. I can’t say enough about your whole show. Thankyou! ❤

23:25 Valentines Day in elementary school during the late 1960s / early 1970s were actually all inclusive. I recall a couple of teachers saying "bring one for everybody" or being handed a mimeograph sheet of paper with the names of every kid in class, but it was the packaging that made it all inclusive.
You had to buy a box with around 30 valentines inside. Back then I had no desire to save unused valentines. Just like with Wacky Packages stickers the whole point was to put them on binders, locker doors, lunchboxes, etc.
The most stressful part, for me, was picking out which kid got which Valentine. I gave the mushy cards to pretty girls. I gave the least loving cards to the kids I didn't want to like me. I feared getting a romantic Valentine from the creepy girls.
After a year or two I threw away received valentines cards when the kids weren't in my class the next year. I didn't need paper affirmation. I was the class clown so smiles and laughter were all I needed. Since so many Valentines survived I guess a lot of kids clung to them for affirmation during times they got depressed. I just loved the puns and wordplay with the artwork! ❤

28:41 Back in the early 1970s there were no Avon parties. It was door-to-door sales by painted-up women. When you heard the doorbell unexpectedly it was either Avon or Jehovah Witnesses.
29:36 Just last month I saw a giant 4-foot tall box containing a USPS Mail truck with a postal worker costume at Target! It cost over $100. What kid will play mailman enough to justify a $100+ purchase? [Price Correction: $269 in store or free shipping]
