  • Trick to bear proof your trail camera without a box, cheap and easy to do, perhaps not the friendliest method...but works.

I like your camera protection solution. It looks simple, inexpensive and effective. I would like to see it in one of your upcoming videos. Thanks😎

I asked my buddy in AK what he does to keep the grizzlies from eating the cameras/boxes.. Same idea. He welds nails to the camera... He says they learn fast just like you said!

I’ve been using cheap dog spray. I just spray above and below and behind camera with the pepper spray. Also my deer feeder timers. I’m hoping they will get a nose full and go away. Of course when it rains I go give a fresh touch up

You could also lay a board on ground at foot of camera tree that is full of screws also.

What are your thoughts on using 3/4" exterior grade plywood for the base?

I have bears in my area, they have not stolen a camera. I have 2 legged Asses who steal cameras, so I purchase the metal boxes. $40 for a box at cabelas or amazon, is cheap insurance for a $250 camera. that is just a deterrent, if someone wants the camera they will get it.

I built me one! It only takes one sniff and the bear leaves in a blur in the photos. And they haven’t been back

A foot of, "hot," fence wire with a 9v battery. Done.
