Her movies also included Conan The Barbarian and A View To A Kill.
In 1979 while I was Station in Germany, I was on vacation for 7 days in Spain, she showed up at this all night club, we all was dancing to " Ring my Bell" the disco version 14 minutes long, I knew she was exotic, but I didn't know who she was then,I think she was just a model, not an actress or singer.
A company I worked for in Australia had Dolph Lundgren as our brand model. I remember being at a season release party, and Grace was there--and I was a huge fan, introduced to her, (and Laurie Anderson), through comments made by David Bowie. I think he knew her through his wife Iman, who also modelled and was from the same area. They were working during the Absurdist period that saw strange rock videos, and the introduction of absurdist comics like Howie Mandell and Steve Martin. I've always loved the super heavy bass lines in Grace's stuff. She has a ton of great songs.

You have absolutely got to do the extended version of the Grace Jones song Slave to the Rhythm with the introduction by Ian McShane. When I was growing up and I saw that video I just loved Grace Jones because she was black, dark-skinned, bold and beautiful. I needed to see that and she brought the ferocity.
