Thats big cap, it is so good man the lighting is litterly perfectly balanced with the brightness even though this mod was made by one dude that was only a fan and didnt even have full acces to all of the game files. Like come on give out some respect my G.
@@applemt0157 I mean, kudos for his hard work and all, but there's no denying much of the image is blown out. You're also loosing a lot of the original art design which is a shame. The goal should be to accentuate and highlight the beauty of the original.
@@Wabajak13 ok, ive bean playing the rtx version over and over and realized thats its true but than i discovered that you can customize the white point and i always have it at dimmer.
when I installed this it just said to use "flashlight button" to turn on the flashlight, but didn't say what it was, and I can't find any options anywhere that tell me what it is. I tried every button on the keyboard so I'm assuming it's not bound somehow, but can't figure out how to bind it as it's not in the regular button mapping options...
Can't wait for my RTX 3080 I9 11900k PC to arrive so I can play Serious Sam with Ray Tracing 😍 honestly it looks better than the HD version of the game
The amount of how much we have to scale down visuals for fully path traced lighting is narrowing. Slowly, but noticeably. Imagine Path Traced HL2 with HL2:Update and MMod Animations.
What is the difference between this and say Metro Exodus? Isn't Metro also using an actual light bounce calculation for global illumination as well or is it simply a different form of rendering as opposed to pathtracing.
@@AdiusOmega Im pretty sure modern games with RT implementations just integrate RT into the renderer rather than fully constructing the image with it. Metro Exodus, Control, and Cyberpunk 2077 are some of the most advanced I've seen but they're not completely path traced. Metro Exodus still uses shadow maps and it's RT Reflections are kind of limited.
Late reply, but no, this mod does not have RT caustics. Although the modder is planning to implement them in the RT mod for The Second Encounter. The refractions are ray traced. Source: I'm one of his playtesters.
AMD refuses to enable Ray Tracing capability on driver updates for older generations of chips, even recent ones from 2019 like Ryzen 3000 generation... Meanwhile, Nvidia is prodiving driver updates that enable Ray Tracing for GPU's as old as 1060/1070/1080 generation from 2016.... Really shows you how awful AMD treats their own customers... Never again wasting money on anything from this pathetic company... Customers PUNISHED from making a purchasing decision of supporting the company... should have known better to be honest, AMD always had issues even far back as the early 2000's, they never got better at this... AMD is an empty promise
Awww man, See this is one of those Rare times where the Scenes without RT look better to me. It looks like somebody just threw a Chrome Filter on all the surfaces. Maybe it's just the art style of the game doesn't mesh well with the Realistic Lighting and Reflections to my eyes.
For some of the outside daylight scenes, a Sunglasses mod will be needed.
Overdose with light brightness in many cases.

The environments look really nice with RTX but why are the guns so shiny? It’s really odd and seems like a change just for the sake of a change.

Yeah kinda sucks that the crosshair is weird and the weapon switch is lame. And it sucks to that i have a 2060 that can barely run 70 fps

Omg are those RT caustics 😩
it doesnt have ray traced caustics
@@pigydog123 Yea, fairly certain the caustics aren't due to RT. The refraction in the water seems to be though.
