- This viral video was shot by Krishnaraj Rao at one of the flats belonging to Shilpi Thard and Amit Jaisingh, at Dioro tower of Lodha New Cuffe Parade, Wadala, Mumbai. Even external walls adjoining main doors of many flats in Lodha NCP are made of gypsum board. This makes the flat vulnerable to thieves, who can easily use the sewage duct near the main door to break into the house. Most of the internal walls of Lodha NCP are made of gypsum board.

The walls of Lodha New Cuffe Parade are also extremely vulnerable to water seepage from the floor and ceiling, as there is wet sand under the floor tiles of every house.

Hello owner the gypsum board is not just used for false ceiling but also for walls
But there is a difference in the area of use
We can use gypsum board in ceilings
Partition walls and internal walls also
But it really depends upon the design and requirements
But in your case the whole house is made of gypsum which is not right
The whole correct bifurcation is as follows:
Outer walls : fly ask bricks which is very very thick
Internal walls should be of bricks
And then apart from these two if you need according to your design you can use drywall (gypsum board walls are called as drywall) just for partition
Most important thing
We cannot use gypsum board or drywall for toilet construction, which has been done in your case toilets are the most water and moisture spreading area which in turn will give you all the leakage and moisture related difficulties
Now the concept of drywall or gypsumboard walls comes from the western culture, mostly the European country is very fond of dry construction
Europe use dry construction, which means in these constructions no mortars like cement is used only wooden frame inside with insulation and then they pack the outside with gypsum board which in turn is called as dry wall
So in all the incompetent behavior of the lodha people of not really studying about the european construction technologies and straightway using these technics is very naive of them and shameful.

Check your Agreement. It is important for builder to mention all the materials to be used to include in Agreement. As per RERA you can get very heavy compensation. My friend just got the compensation last month from the builder. Go for it. Dont leave the builder.

Thank you very much. Thanks to you, we didn't book. Actually we had gone and the sales manager was extremely rude and insulting and threatened us as we didn't have one document. Luckily we couldn't book. I came home and happened to find your video and I thank my stars, my document was missing.
I think this is the case with majority of new builders in bigger cities. Most of the money goes into land acquisition cost and there is little left for construction costs. My personal opinion is to never buy a home in cities..just rent it and instead invest in stocks, gold etc.

It is just not about the moisture or thieves getting it, it is a major fire hazard, in an fire emergency, it will be a very dangerous situations for residents! Fix this immediately!!
Abhijeet Garje fire rating is bad, GB (Gypsum Board) here is or on my perception from the video 1/2” with 2 1/2” metal framing, not even an hour fire rating wall. The idea is not bad for using GB, is just not done right. Usually for this type of apartments you will have 5/8” GB with a metal framing of 3 5/8”. Exterior or corridor walls should have a double layer of GB and it needs to be type x. This type of construction is popular in the states and very well implemented, but this video shows the corruption in very different levels. At least it has some BATT insulation (for sound) but again, this kind of assembly does not follows international UL assemblies.
I like the way people are getting reactions. It's common to use such materials in condominium in many countries and it is easy to fix problems.. If u have home insurance and keep wealth in bank lockers.

Lodha has sent a legal notice to these guys, if Lodha had not done anything wrong they wouldn’t have been worried so much to run to their lawyers.... u guys should gather around all buyers and file a class action suite against Lodha
Lodha has resident lawyers. Sending a legal notice won't cost them anything. Other problem is, consumers struggle to find a a lawyer who is not on their panel i.e. no conflict of interest. Notice from Lodha is expected. I suggest stay put in case. One of resident in my building Elmer D'silva got 32L (or may be 31L) compensation from Lodha couple of years back. Their legal notices are hollow.

It's rendering problem bro...when u upload vertical videos it shrikes the pixels down..it doesn't matter if ur original video is 720 or 1080..it will shrink it down to 240 anyway
