Welcome back to my channel! In this latest vlog, I jet off from L.A. to way down under (off to the right) New Zealand. Auckland, New Zealand to be specific - with my Airbnb based in Whangaparaoa. I did this one solo and was really excited to be back on this side of the world. New Zealand is super close to my favorite country (Australia), and I've always wanted to visit.
I dived into the diverse culture, indigenous art and history, enjoyed some of the best pancakes and other cultural foods, and experienced the surreal lush green natural beauty that is New Zealand!
Don't forget to hit that like button, subscribe for more travel adventures, and leave a comment with your favorite New Zealand spots (if you've been or are from here) or any travel tips for solo adventurers like myself.

I really want to go to New Zealand but I couldn’t really find any solo travelers videos/info for it! Thanks for sharing! I was going to cross it off the list until I saw this video. I’m going to watch it now ❤
Anyone been to New Zealand, or is it on your bucket list? If you've been, share your favorite Kiwi memories, and if not, tell me which part of this stunning country you're most excited to visit someday :) Let's swap travel stories and recommendations in the comments below! 🗺

I’m trying to go to New Zealand this year but I’m nervous about transportation when I get there. I’m from the US Indiana
@@gracesellars4568 Depends on where you're going but they have a pretty good public transportation system or you could rent a car. I found the roads to not be as busy as other major cities and so felt less anxious driving on the opposite side of their roads.
So cool to see you in my country!
Thank you! Loved New Zealand, just next time I'm coming in your summer not winter haha
Certainly a good commentary of your travels. Kia ora and welcome back to Tamaki Makaurau, Aotearoa.
The Lighthouse is an art piece. It is Captain Cook.
Auckland is a port. The waterfront has been redeveloped over many years. This is partly because of the America's Cup yacht race.
Oh wow! Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
Ahhh, such a shame about that fickle Auckland weather. I hope you had a nice time anyhow🙂
I did! Thanks :)
How were u able to get cell phone reception ? & find your way around ?
I believe I used Airalo to purchase a New Zealand e-sim when I got there and had very little trouble with getting reception.
I love that your a black lady going to New Zealand, I am planning a trip now for dec 2024 thur jan 2025, any thoughts
Thank you! You’ll love it, especially since you’ll be travelling during their summer. I stayed more in the Auckland surrounding area and felt safe my whole time there. You’ll be fine! I wish I did more touristy activities and sightseeing but next time :)
@@morganblackman Thanks for replying so quickly, seriously love that you did the video the way you did, you gave a more normal viewing of what it would be like for me. Question how was driving on the opposite side of the road, I have spent a nice amount already for where I'm going to stay and I plan on being in NZ for two watcha think?
@@aniee249 It was fine! Just took my time on the roads and after a while it becomes second nature. Two weeks is plenty of time to see a lot too if you'll have a car :)
