Hi guys! been following for a while now, fun to watch our cruising grounds through new eyes. I was out there, hitting many of the same anchorages, aboard our Islander 30 Natasha with our granddaughter in June and July. Great fun! Keep on living the good life as long as you can. A hint on the blocked raw water intake: you have an inflatable dinghy air pump. Keep an adapter on board to connect the pump hose to the intake side of the strainer. Connect the two and pump air out the through-hull. I've done it more than once, jumping on the pump if needed, and always blown the obstruction out. I have now installed a second raw water intake with proper sea cock, usually closed. I can instantly switch intakes if one plugs (because they always seem to plug at the most inopportune time!). I'm on You Tube as well, but only publish once a year.

Hi guys, great to see you back. Fun video. On the collapsed engine water intake hose, although cleaning out the strainer would definitely improve water flow and was obviously needed, the blockage would need to be before the strainer to collapse the hose. As you definitely found out. 😉 Always try to slow yourself down and think through each fix as you go to get to route cause. In this case no harm, but with those currents, the last thing you want to happen is to have an overheating engine. Fair winds guys! DING 🔔!
Really awesome content, just breath taking scenery around every corner and Emma is a card, that was classic at 13:45. We have successfully sailed to the most southern part of the Bahamas, The Turks & Caicos Islands, Our little Corsair Trimaran has performed flawlessly. We are coming off the boat for the whole month of January and staying at the Seven Stars Resort & Spa, this is on Mangrove Cay. This resort has a world class marina with large slips, so it will be easy to maneuver the Corsair in and out of the slip when we want to do a day sail and explore some of the outer Islands....
Our friends in Big Pine Key which is north of Key West has a Dragon Fly 25, awesome trimaran, not as fast as our Corsair 880 Sport, but still will reach up to 18 knots on a very light wind......
New subscriber. I ran across you the other day and watched a couple episodes. Good stuff. I've gone back to the very beginning and have 14 episodes under my belt. It'll take awhile for me to catch up but I'm enjoying the journey.
.... laughing ... so what you are saying Alie is that if Greg was in the Carib be would be like a pearl diver and stay down for minutes at a time ..... Hats off to both Greg and Emma for jumping in to check the through hulls .. good eye Ben spotting the collapsed hoses .... they are both pretty relaxed and natural acting in front of the camera, are they also vloggers ...... as per usual you found some fantastic scenery .. can totally see why you get drawn back there time and again .... had to laugh when you held up the beer can so all could see the nudes ... thx for sharing Ben & Alie ... as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, safe our oceans .....
Ha yes exactly! ya we love having them In the vlog because they are good on film, and funny.. just adds a whole new dynamic then two people filming each other. They don’t have a vlog but we are hoping they can join us in Mexico for a good long stretch :)
@@BreakingWavesSailing .... laughing .. a break from filming each other .... should drop the seed in their minds that they ought to do part or all of the Pacific crossing with you .... Mexico is a good star .... thx for your reply ...... be sure to make it an exceptional week .....
@@BreakingWavesSailingLol, I'm guessing Greg's booty isn't gonna hike up the subs. nearly the same as Alie's . Have fun guys, thanks for bringing us the PNW

Great video, looking forward to more.
Thanks John! Many more coming
Keep em coming!!!
In your intro you mention you have had no regrets about sailing. Does that include the time the windlass tried to rip off your little finger? 😊😎
Ha well that part, yes we regret that part of sure :)
I hope you guys try gold panning in some of those rivers up in those little places?
We haven’t but we should!
@@BreakingWavesSailing gold pans have many uses i have found,,perfect for boats ,like a water bowl for the puppy or a basen for washing.
As soon as I saw the title of your video, I was diving straight in to watch ! After all, who can resist “surfing” and “friends” ??!! 😂😊👍
Hahaha
Great episode!
