Amazing. Our garage door was installed only yesterday, and I told the mechanic about these rodent guards (after watching your video.). He scofffed at the idea and told me he never saw mice eat through the vinyl strip. Well, I walked outside this morning and, lo and behold, a mouse had eaten his way through exactly as you depicted on your video---less than 24 hours after the stops were installed! Your video and product are excellent, and spot on!
A lot of professionals seem to have very little idea how easily mice find their way in your house. Once youve dealt with it you never want to leave it up to chance
Love the video, especially the end. But you should really have a link for the product in the TH-cam description. Very easy to do and ensures when people like me have to search for it, we don't find and buy a competing product.
Perfect solution! i just discovered today a mouse had chewed the corner of my garage vinyl weather seal. I had no idea how to repair, or how much it was going to cost to replace. This product is exactly what I need! Looks so simple to install. Thanks!
These are great! I got tired of trapping and disposing of mice and ordered a set of these. Our weather strip was narrower than most, so I called Rickford to find out if these would still work. Rick kindly offered to custom cut a set and actually included a regular sized set as well - at no extra charge! Great company and brilliant idea!
Thanks so much for taking the time today to explain how the product is effective. And, thanks for answering my questions about protecting the house overall. Great info! I'll be sure to spread the word in the neighborhood.
Great Product! Yes, rodents will chew through rubber easily. I once had a hamster for a pet, it got loose in the house. Well, it chewed or ate most the insulation off the electrical cord going to my refrigerator. We found him when the bare wires shorted out, blowing a fuse. Amazingly the hamster was still alive. But it could have burnt out house down!
On my garage door, the mice made 2 holes, one on each side of the door. The snakes follow the mouse scent and come thru the mouse hole. I put out insect glue traps and caught 9 snakes last weekend. I checked my drain tile sump basket and removed 6 more snakes! My wife was not happy! I replaced the bottom door seal and the ones on the side and top.
On the contrary, tossing the lil bastid mouse down as he did was goodnmiz and , in my estimation, makes this video one of the best I've seen in a while.
Where to buy this particular garage door rodent guard? I searched it on Amazon, could not find it. Could u let us know where u bought it from and the manufacturer’s name. Thanks
I went to the website and they want $17.71 for shipping, the product costs $10.95. Product price is fine but shipping is nuts. Thats to my house in Ontario. Can this product be purchased in a store in Ontario?
Hi, Santhosh. Weather seals come in different sizes. The Garage Door Rodent Guard is sized to fit most weather seals. For the extra large width seal that you have, the small opening will need to be filled with a bead of good adhesive caulk. We use OSI Quad "tougher then the elements" caulk. Found at Lowes and other stores. While you are Rodent Proofing your garage, caulk in ANY OTHER openings you may come across. Closing all entry points. Let the Caulk set up as per instructions on the product and then paint to match existing color.
Rick Weeks Thanks Rick. so you want me to install the rodent guard and then seal the rest of the opening with the caulk ? is that what you are suggesting ?
Mice and rats can chew through concrete. Aluminum isn't going to stop them. And what's going to stop them from chewing ABOVE the metal? You've heard hickory dickory dock haven't you? You know that they can run vertically right?🐭🐹
Answer to Vampiah's question. Go to your web browser and key in garage door rodent guard Your findings will be, may online stores of which carrier the product, some ship internationally and others USA only. Thanks for asking, and Happy Rodent Proofing.

Thanks this is exactly what I needed. My seals were going all the way to the floor and using tape wasn't working. This is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Dude, give a little warning at the end 😅😅😅😅
This not work... the mouse moved over to the left 1". We then put a 6" metal protector... The rodents chewed the 7" point & also thru the wood trim...

That mouse wont be chewing on westher strips anymore..

@@BIGO.CHILLIN.SIDEWAYS Why?
So you know what it looks like when they hit traps.🤢 I’m a new homeowner and I have to do this so wife can feel at ease when pulling in the garage
Why the fuck would you throw that mouse in our face at the end!!
