You didn't have to take the trim off as just took mine apart to fix it and never needed to do that to get to that motor ,loads of care opening that lol, no wonder it broke !!
I switched my actifry to warm chips and smoke suddenly filled inner chamber and burning rubber smell from.swithed off immediately .Is it easy to repair a burnt wire it overheating causing it to smoke and emit burning smell

Hi there I have a Tefal Actifry exact same model as yours. Can you please explain to me about the plastic washer that did not work so you made a metal one. Can you either make a video of that particular section or it might be easier to tell me on your video what the washer is and where its located. The reason why I ask mine is also making a noise. It will be the centrifugal fan - just happened to mine. It has gone out of shape due to heat and it has split in 2 places. On searching you have to replace the entire motor assembly. But first I am going to see if I can do a repair.
The three pin plug has a plastic earth pin ! The moulded plug has a fitted fuse ! ...and on checking the flex, it is only two core ! This appears ridiculous to me !

I took the paddle motor out of the fryer, but as I was taking the back off, the cogs (gears) stuck to the cover and dropped off, before I had a chance to photograph the position of them all (5 in total) Have you got a video, or photo, or diagram you could put up for me to follow.
@@erinc.8633 yes but there is no high voltage.i checked it with multimeter. i take it to servise and they said card and motor will chance and wanted new one price. i will open it and check any thing wrong on card
if mine dont heat up is that the heating element or something else stopping it from heating up it turns on and every thing but not heating up dont want to spend money on the part and thats not the problem

I would start at the fuse in the pluge and the on off switch

@@nickwhite4667 That's because the unit is ALL plastic no extraneous parts, therefor no earth, check IEE electrical regulations

The fuse is there for a reason "safety guard" NEVER bypass a fuse OR solder over, is it worth a fire for a less than 50p for a fuse 😃
You definitively need the fuse! And please buy the correct type.
I changed that fuse for a normal fast one and wasted money. It blew immediately.

Sure the actifry only goes clock wise because the paddle is ramped up that way

Only the rotating paddle works for my Actifry, but there is no heat or fan noise, any ideas what is it and how to fix?
